  • Afternoon :-) ive decided to invest in a laptop in the jan sales. Just so i can still spend time with oh in the evenings instead of disappearin to the computer room. Ive been writing a few dooyoo reviews to hit the ground running in the new year. Ive lots to ebay & im determined to keep it separate so i can keep a proper eye on things!!
  • Yeah, thats one thing I am looking forward to at the moment. New ideas of money making! As I said before I havent taken it to seriously this year and put in very minimal time and come out with £600+ extra with a bit more to come over a 4 month period. I could have easily trebled that with commitment I feel.
  • Thank you to whoever mentioned green metropolis - I've just listed 10 books, could list about another 100 and still have shelves of the things.

Do you think it will be a success - the Green Metropolis?

I've just sold two tops on ebay - that's a first for me - never done it before - mind you I didn't get much but it's a start - just watch them complain as they won't get there before XMas.
  • Hi all, I am new to MSE but would love to join in this challenge. I have quite a large amount of student/graduate/overdraft debt I am desperate to shift, so any money made will be paying that off. My girlfriend also has car finance and a personal loan to pay off, so money will be going towards that too.

Cheers for all the info OP, I'm sure some of those will come in handy in the following year! :money:

I think i will give this a try, had a look at a various amount of challanges/groups, me being me i find it rather difficult to save but my work is not looking so secure no more and well i need a boot implanted to my rear end to pay off a personal loan, and 2 credit cards.

    i am actually rather excited.

    income will be:
    overtime, ebay, buying/selling, quidco.

I hope so, but we shall just have to wait and see. I've never managed to sell anything on e-bay, so will have to put a bit more effort into that
  • Hi, never done anything like this before but please count me in! I've been unemployed for far too long and was thinking about going self employed in the new year anyway! I feel like I've wasted 2010 (apart from working very hard on my OU course:) ) so aiming to make up for it in 2011!

My motivation is that I have about £3.5k in debts to pay off and I haven't had a holiday for 10 years now so that's what I'm aiming for. I'm starting on the 1st no time to waste.

I already have a few websites in development and got some stuff to ebay too, Got a few other ideas too!

  • This is a great challenge and with many people struggling with debts, this would be a great challenge for people to 'buck the trend' and give the UK economy a boost as well.

    I'm in!
