  • Well good evening everyone. Ive discovered that if i want to take oh on a fab holiday for his 30th in 2013 i need to save approx £125 a month startin jan 2011. Now bearing in mind ive also got a wedding to plan & around £6k of credit card debt id like to pay off , then id need to make at least £11k lol!! Ive taken some ebay pics in preparation for listing in jan - ideally i need to sell at least 10 items a month!

The key to this challenge for me is the support on here :-) i just need to stay motivated!

Finally can anyone recommend a decent laptop? I have a lot of pics & music but other than that it will be used for mse, emails, ebay & any surveys worth doin!! x
  • I'm up for this!! Although I work full time, I've just applied for a Cencus 2011 job starting in March, April time so fingers crossed, think they are available all over the country and you can do evenings and weekends!

  • Count me in.
    I'll give this a go.
  • for anyone who has applied to do the census - can you tell me where it was advertised? i wouldnt mind applying for it as well - i do think i seen it before on the ni civil service job site, so maybe they are finished recruiting!
  • Count me in as well, I'm going to go off and put together some ideas as to how I'm going to get anywhere the total. It's nothing everybody else hasn't thought of before though!
I have quite a bit of debt to be dealing with so I reckon anything that I make will be put towards debt repayments!
    11k in 2011 - £256.63 / £11,000
    January £10 a day - £256.63 / £310
  • *wave* I'll be back next year, circumstances necessitate!

After my craft items negative epiphany I just fell off the wagon, so I need to get my thinking cap on about what I can do this coming year. But I'm sticking with the dribbling for sure!

    Good luck everyone!

  • Count me in this time - last year I started ok and then the wedding consumed both time, money and energy... now I have a house full of unused things that can be ebayed, loads of craft things that need finishing and a few short stories that could be written for competitions with as much chance as anyone else of winning some spare £'s!

I also plan to include any bonus I get from work which could easily count for near on a half if I am lucky!

Hubby and I are saving for our own house and my youngest son will be heading off to Uni in 2012 so any additional finances will be used wisely!
Well lets see - I dip in and out of MSE all the time but I still come back - have done since 2007!!!
