Afternoon OSers *waving*
Spent all morning getting my chuffin wifi to work which means I am now hideously behind on my work so this will be a quick one. DS has just announced he wants to do some baking as he is bored!!!!! so we're going to try Queenie's every day biscuits and some flapjack - which will be nice to hand around to the guests I've got coming tomorrow.
Still a ton of stuff to do in prep for the big party - numbers are now up to 30!!!! (I haven't got that many plates and glasses!) but everytime someone rings and says they would love to come I just give thanks for having so many lovely friends and I convince myself they won't ALL be that hungry
Gingham - look after yourself honey and enjoy your lovely FUD!
Tinkerbell - my nan died suddenly 3 years ago, I miss her so much - in a glass cabinet in my kitchen I have her Bakelite kitchen timer so everytime I look at it it reminds me of her. And I am still using her old slow cooker. It's tiny compared to the newer ones but I wouldn't swap it for the world. Take care of yourself xxx
Big hugs to all the people still suffering with the lurgy xxx
And a very lovely OS day to the rest of you xxxComps £2016 in 2016 - 1 wins = £530 26.2%

Hi everyone,
thought i would pop in and say hello. Me and the little one (Charlie) are now home. We both had an infection, and then he developed jaundice, so we were kept in until Tuesday afternoon. We then were back up to the hospital yesterday to get a blood test, and have to go back tomorrow for another one. If he is still jaundiced tomorrow, we may get readmitted.
Just didn't want you all to think i'd abandoned you.
So far, all is well. He is sleeping really well, only waking up a couple of times per night, and not really a mardy or sicky baby. He only cries when something is wrong. I am quite knackered from being in hospital as i barely slept all week. Luckily DH is feeling quite fresh, and is helping through the night. He's become quite a pro at changing nappies. It's a shame he can't feed him.
I'll be having a bit of a read of the threads to find out what you have all been up to. I have missed being able to check in. Hope i haven't missed anything too major and that you are all well.
Michelle, XX
Oh - old style wise, i will be sorting out the veggies in the cupboard, and binning them all as they have gone off while i was in hospital. I've done two loads through the WM today, and i have a washing up slave who has been supplying me with endless food and drinks too. All in all, not bad. (helps that i filled the freezer in the run up to going in hospital with extra portions of meals)0 -
Hi Michelle. Lots of love to you, Mr Michelle and to wee Charlie

Hey Michelle! I'm soooo impressed you thought of us all & posted. I wan't expecting to see you for the next 18 years
Post us a pic soon.
Hugs to tinkerbell - I still miss my Nana too, she was an amazing woman and could have taught us all a few things about OS living. I think she invented the WI cookbook!!
Working from home today; have got a massive blister on the ball of my foot, which makes walking very unpleasant. All my good intentions of going to the gym tonight are shot down in flames................:rotfl:
Done a couple of loads of washing & cleaned out the DW filter (euugghhh), and now I'm going upstairs to get the suitcases out to start packing for Australia!! :j Most of it is on the spare bed, but it needs a good sort out as DH has been lobbing things onto the pile wily-nily. How's the weather looking at your end AussieLass? Only a week to go................
Need some dinner inspiration - chicken and .................. (answers on a postcard) I think it might be risotto of some description0 -
