    Morning all!

Busy day ahead, ds3 has invited a friend round to play and for dinner, and ds2 is at a party. Im a little worried as the friend who is coming round has a bit of a reputation at school for being very naughty, his mum looked completely shocked when i invited him around to play, but im sure it will be fine, i have to give all the kids friends a chance before i say they not coming round to our house!! We will have to wait and see!!!

Talling of leaving/quiting w**k, this is what my DH did about 8 weeks ago now, and it was the best thing he has ever done, he is a different person, he hated his old job and it was making him ill. The new job has its down side ie we had to buy a cheap 2nd car to get him to and from work, which we couldnt really afford, but the struggle has been worth it, he has a spring back in his step, and is smiling again!! So good luck to all those of you thinking about leaving!!

Right off to clean the kitchen and get sorted for the friends visit, i think i will do something simple like bangers and HM chips, followed by HM rice pud done in SC.

    Hugs to all

    Good morning everyone,

Went for an early night last night, as i feel so shattered, but after a couple of hours, i was still lying there, coughing and trying to sleep!!!! Never mind, being half term at least i dont have to rush now im up!!! 1 little one here today, and 2 older ones, but they are only here until 12, when im taking them to a Brownie event they are attending. DS will then want his footie mag, he shouldve had it on Tuesday, but as he was at his dads, i assumed he would get it for him. Typically, he didnt (hes such a good dad!!!!) so i think we will stop somewhere and find him a copy.
Need to do more washing today, not sure where its all coming from but there you go. The problem isnt the washing, but getting it dry!!!
Right, little one due anytime now, so better get moving,
(((HUGS))) to anyone poorly or needing one
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

DH asked me to set the alarm for 5.15 a.m. so that he could leave in plenty of time to get to York , get parked and get the train to London.
Made a big fuss about how if he did not get there before 7 a.m, there would not be a car parking space!

He left the house at 6.50 a.m.!!! Grhh!

Spent yesterday trying to track down a friend of the guy who died and after spending all morning I managed to do it - not helped by the fact that he lives 70 miles away and D.H. initially gave me the wrong name and was not sure how to spell it!

Now have a list of a dozen solicitors to phone to see if I can track down his friend's will so that things can be resolved.

Made a pot of soup overnight in the slow cooker and went shopping for basics yesterday so at least something is done.

Hugs to all and JackieO - look after your toe.

    Good morning everyone.

Spent most of yesterday in hospital after fainting in town and someone called an ambulance. So I'm ordered to have a feet up day today which is exactly what I'm doing. Gas engineer came out yesterday to fix and service our boiler and we finally have hot water again after 4 days without. But it did make us realise that we can do without the heating for a little longer so that's not on. (It's been on most mornings for a couple of weeks now.)

No driving so I can't get any shopping done. DH doesn't drive so we're going to try to do a scout round the cupboards to do some makeshift meals until it's okay for me to drive. (Apparently this fainting thing is common in pregnancy!)

No housework for me today and fortunately DH can look after our lad so I really can rest.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

    Morning everyone

It is absolutely miserable here. Don't think it has stopped raining since yesterday morning.

One load of washing is already in. Also have bedcovers and towels to do. Think these will have to be tumble dried as it is taking forever to get things dry just now. I am so tight I grudge using the tumble drier ;)

Have ironing to do as well. Feel like I am running out of clothes. Wore a top yesterday to work which was one of those ones you only really wear when there is nothing else and one of my lovely workmates said I looked like a folk singer!!!

Usual tidying/cleaning/hoovering of all rooms. Who said this was a day off?!?:confused:

Gonna go for a browse before I start.

    Bye for now :D

  • Morning all,

Just a quickie from me. I've not been around much since we came back off hols and then on Saturday my world started caving in as my nan died :( I know people say she was old etc... but that doesn't stop the pain does it? To top it all off this is coupled with massive family problems as well and I just can't understand why everyone just can't put their differences aside at a time like this. In all honest I have lost faith in the people I trusted the most and am walking around with that sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Anyway not sure why I felt the need to come on and tell you all this, this morning but it seems like a way to get everything of my chest.

As for OS I have done nothing since it happened, no cleaning, no cooking in fact I had weetabix for tea last night!!!!

I'm sure once I get my head together though I will be back on track.....

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

    Good Morning

Slightly earlier start today but not much.

So far have only filled wm and come on pc to check banking.

DD if off today for a stable day at the local riding school, she is then going back to her friends for tea so that will make it much more peaceful today. Plan to take DS to a play area with his cousin and that should keep him busy - also need to pick up some new school trousers for DD (she has outgrown them already) get DS haircut (a very traumatic experience) and return DD's overdur Library book.

Want to get home asap as need to do a big and I mean BIG tidy up and keep on top of the washing and ironing.

Weather is meant to be nice and dry today - hope so.

Well need to get on - have a great day.

Gingham Ribbon - hope you feel better today. Did they get to the bottom of it?

    (((hugs))) Tinkerbelleuk
