thank you ladies, it's much appreciated.
turns out i will be getting the extra in my paypacket this month that i'd been promised. i'm guessing the guy i spoke to looked at the wrong screen so that means i can pay Mad Mavis the extra £50 phew!
I'm putting some extra into the 8% saver and some into an emergency fund to cover anything else which may come up due to our planned move. there's bound to be things that we have to pay for before the whole thing gets finalised.
feeling like the whole buying selling is in a holding pattern at the moment, we're awaiting the documents regarding our place so that it can get on the market. I'm guessing that this holding pattern feeling will be around for a while yet though0 -
Ooh I didn't notice the 8% before, well done for finding that! :TWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0

i know, tis a very lovely pay packet this month, but i do feel for OH as it's kind overshadowed the bonus that he's received from his work place, so the timing could have been better. I think the only other time i've received such a lovely pay packet was when i was made redundant.
vl i think i found out about the saver from Martin's email, and it may still be available but it's only available for First Direct current account holders.
sounds like we have the property documents at home to check for getting our place on the market so that's a bit more progress and we've got the energy certificate folk coming around on Friday (wish it was earlier than that though).
Last night i was playing around planning my future kitchen (obviously when i get exact measurements it will change) but i've costed a 'cheap' and an 'expensive' version so i know what we're roughly looking at and my guestime wasn't far off. Haven't factored in getting it installed though, wish i had such useful people in my family to help with such things.
i think i need to put patience up at the top of my to do list everyday at the moment.0 -
feeling pretty weird at the moment, was all excited today at work when Mr LT said the paperwork details for this place were at home waiting for me but since i've been home and made a few changes i feel all deflated as if no one would even bother to come and see this place. Almost feels like that dieting feeling - if you never actually start it properly then you've not failed at it, but in this case, it's almost as if if the flat never goes on the market properly then if it doesn't sell it's not because people have rejected it. God that sounds completely daft doesn't it!
Mr LT decided that one of the jobs he would do today is wash his side of the headboard, where he sits up against it it has gotten darker than my side, only trouble is he's made it lot worse, why does that always happen??? going to have to find the fabric i bought to line my winter curtains and staple it over the headboard and hope it will make it look a bit better and not turn folk off the flat.
other job for today or tomorrow - fill the holes with filler in the bathroom where Mr LT drilled holes before measuring properly for the towel rail which then unexpectedly turned out to not be in the right places.
oh and the For Sale board is now up and the neighbours have already started asking questions
feels like it's been a very long week so far, work has been hellish and i feel like i need a day off, this bank holiday just can't come soon enough for me!0 -

we've had our offer accepted in principle until such time as we sell when they will take the house off the market, unless someone comes along in the meantime with a better offer.0
