Sub 10k brilliant news! Don't forget also that you would have been quicker getting them paid off if the pesky windows hadn't got in the way, but getting those done was a really sensible decision so well worth the delay.

Talking of spreadsheets - I'm going to email yours from the laptop to this machine I think and then see if I can get it sorted for you.

I'm starting to worry about how i'll spend my life when i am finally DF. I'm going to have so much spare time lol

input my numbers onto your supa dupa spreadsheet last night and really depressed myself. If we don't overpay then i'll be 60 before it's finished!
As i'm only looking as far ahead as the end of the fixed rate, if we overpay from 2nd quarter next year then we'll knock about 6 years off. But what really depresses me is that we want to get a bigger mortgage! and i'd like to be mortgage free by 50! No pressure then!

You can do it! It must look very daunting all together like that but it's all about little steps :)

    It's official now i'm under £10k! :j:j:j:j:j

Feels like i'm in the home stretch now, even though it's still another 18months before i'll be finished. Though technically if i didn't overpay the mortage i could be finished inside the year.

going to do all my transfers when i get home.

Next on my hit list is:
    phone and broadband
    sky tv
    letters to neighbours re porch.
