pippi, i'm always here even when OH is here with me.

I did sell a lot of stuff on ebay a while ago but i hate the changes they made a while back and the fact that the buyers always seem to want blood. Plus i hate paypal, like ebay it wants to fleece you at every turn. I would like to be able to add more to Norbert though.
  • LT I've not ebayed for a while - and have my rosetinted specs on - also I'm very skint - so I need to wage war on something!

I'd forgotten about that side of it!

I'm not really allowed on the laptop when folk are about - wierd rule really - but time different when OH home - Norbert looking good though!

i've noticed that you're quiet when OH is around which is understandable as you don't live together so it's special when you are together. We were like that before OH moved in. :)

oh forgot to say think i'll be baking this weekend. OH has bought me a set of cake pans to make one of those giant cupcakes. My sister makes them but OH has apparently decided that i should as well. Guess the words diet aren't really registering in his head no wonder i'm struggling.

signed up for equifax and credit expert free trials. May not get the credit expert quidco money but should def get equifax things.
nothing on there surprising which is good. I'm assuming that 'settled' means i've closed the account. I think it does as some things have dropped of from when i first looked at it about 5 years ago. Can't wait for it to say that Norbert is closed. according to credit expert this is the only thing keeping me from having a 100% perfect score, they reckon it's only 970 at the moment out of 999 lol

well not much of an updater am i? I never really seem to have much going on in my life so miss days out all the time.

Yesterday i had an expensive day, visited a friends, went to dentists, got brakes replaced on my car, went to the Range, had friend over and sorted out her wedding stationery for the last time, breathed a sigh of relief as i got into bed :)

tonight i've been bored and i'm really tired so....
I've worked out how much i need to save each month to make sure my nephews and neices all get roughly the same amount when they reach 18. I've been saving each month for each of them but i didn't start the first one's savings accounts until he was a couple of years old so he's a little behind on the savings compared to the others. I've changed my SO's now so that they should all get at least £1300 on their 18th birthday which i think is a decent amount of money (more than i ever got!) They don't know about the accounts so it will be a nice surprise for them and maybe help them if they want to go to uni or something.

I've also updated all my little savings accounts for their pennies worth of interest (every little helps!).

I think i need to have a look at what i need to save each month towards my annual car expenses. At the moment i save £45 each month but that's remained the same for donkey's years and probably isn't enough as my car gets older. I'm thinking i may increase it to £50 for a few months then as things get a little less squeaky add a little extra. I haven't even considered saving for a new car yet! and i think i'll probably need one in a couple of years time as long as my current one doesn't conk before then. But i really want to clear Norbert and my parents loan before i can think about buying a new one.

sorry for the essay if anyone is reading.
  • For our two cars (a '57 plate Clio and an '03 plate Citroen C3) we budget £137 per month for expenses - this should cover the tax (both cheap as they are 1.5 & 1.4 diesels) insurance, servicing, tyres as and when they need replacement, and MoT tests. We also take minor stuff out of that account too - wipers, oil, bulbs and that sort of thing. It's such a good feeling to know that they money is there for the bits and pieces that come up.

That's a lovely idea savoing for your neices and nephews 18th's - just imagine their faces when they find out! :D
