thank EH, i also save separately for the insurance and rescue cover (which i'd temp. forgotten duh!).
This is for MOT's, services, repairs, tax. thankfully i only have a 1.2 petrol car. It's always been enough before but now i'm starting to worry. I had a few major jobs done on it last year, cam belt, water pump, 4 tyres, battery, suspension cups (or something like that), and yesterday all 4 break pads and discs. so i'm hoping all the major stuff has been done for a year or so.
I hope my nephews and neices will be happy, strangely enough i worry that once i've given the money to my eldest nephew then the rest will know and start expecting it or hassling if they want it early. stupid i know.
sometimes i think my hubby thinks i'm nuts having lots of savings accounts all over the place but they all have a purpose. He's grateful for my insisting that he set up a car account as soon as he got his scooter then car as it means he can actually afford to pay for stuff, which he couldn't really do now he's contributing towards our home etc.0

Ooh how did you persuade him? My OH is terrible at saving!
@EH I save just over that for my one car :eek:Weight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0

vl i just told him! as soon as he got his scooter i worked out what the annual costs were and told him he was saving that amount. Upped it when he got his car.0

oh i wouldn't say that, he keeps dipping into another savings account which is for a specific purpose, won't be long before i take that card from him though as it's for both our benefits not just his. 0 0

unfortunately a) he would just say take it to the cat rescue which would b) break my kids hearts and c) most rental agencies here will take full grown animals but not ones that need house training.
it is going to be a LONG fight

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

that's a shame Chev. I was surprised this week as OH rang up about some puppies he saw advertised. They had all gone but i do wonder what would have happened if they'd had some left.0

had a lovely long weekend this weekend, shame is its now ending.
Went to a friends wedding on Saturday which was lovely. Didn't really do much yesterday and today we've been into town, i've bought a new food mixer as i noticed my hand mixers beaters have got marks on them which may or may not be rust.
We ended up at the cinema, we watched the Kings Speech which we really enjoyed, what made it even better was that it was free because we had tickets via our tesco's vouchers. Then we went to a Chinese which does an all you can eat buffet which was lovely.
Shame is that it's back to work tomorrow.0
