It is always sad when a beloved pet dies. People who don't 'get' this I feel sorry for them. Pets can be very emotionally rewarding. Just had the opening round in my war with OH about getting pets when we move. I mean really I have had a cat since I was 18 months old. He met me I had cats, he married with them and now he expects me not to ever have a cat again. He must be round the twist.......This is going to take a Long time to sort out

Hi Lemon Tree - I love the title of your diary.

Sorry to hear about bunny x I love animals could not live without them. I even named our chickens and I would just die if anything happened to one of them! My dogs are my children and I have a horse too so no shortage of animals at our house :)

will subscribe so I can keep up with the baking of the lemon cake ;)

So sad when someone loses a furry friend - I'm with Chev too, I feel sorry for those who can't understand how an animal can be part of the family. Idealy I'd have a dog - I grew up with dogs and would have one tomorrow if we could, but I'm practical enough to know that living in a flat with no garden it's not really practical. Instead we have HRH The Cat, who is very lovely, and will, on occasion, even sit when you tell her to......! ;)

Hope your workload is getting a bit more under control now LT?

Hi all, i'd love a dog, a sausage dog in particular, but i'm not 'allowed' one until one of us is home more of the day than we currently are as it's not fair to the poor little thing. We have two cats, two guinea pigs and a rabbit. OH knew i had animals when he took us on, and agreed to adopt them and be their daddy when we got married.

Chev could a poor little bedraggled kitten 'turn up' at your place one day and you just have to take it in/keep it or it will perish in this harsh world we live in???? not that i'm advocating the telling of porkies to our loved ones..... much!

EH things are mad at work still and will be for a couple of months yet, but it's just that time of the year. The really desparate stuff has been done i'm just waiting for the follow up stuff to land which is bound to do when i'm at my busiest with my normal work load. Had a meeting today about the changes that are going on at work, relatively good news but still trying times to live in.

oh meant to say, made Kiwi cake recently. It was quite nice really considering i don't like kiwi's.
Only made it because OH bought home two punnets of them reduced one evening, and had yet to start eating them. I hate to see them going to waste even though they're one fruit that i simply don't like.
found a recipe online which was basically a 6oz victoria with kiwi in it. I made it into little loaves to continue playing with my individual loaf tins and they're much easier to take into work/eat as they're easily portable.
