thanks, i'm sure it will be fine, i'm developing my coping mechanisms as we speak

need to get something to tart up a black dress so can wear it to a wedding in a couple of weeks time. Can't afford anything new, and can't find anything even if i can afford it. Think i may hit a sari shop or something as i usually see beautiful fabric in the shops.0 -
That sounds like a good idea - you can get some gorgeous brght coloured and embroidered fabrics for relatively little in some of those shops.
I'm up to your neck of the woods tomorrow for that meal with the speedway lot - should be a good night out, we have plenty to talk about as mostly we've not seen each other since October!
Got to track down some cheap diesel while I'm up there - there is 4p per litre difference between prices down here, and up there! 🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

sorry i missed you, hope you found Asda for your petrol.
i didn't find anything in the end to decorate my dress with, guess i was looking in the wrong shops, they all seem to only sell fabric by the 5 yds. I'm going to live with what i've got, it's respectable just black and i don't always like to wear black to a wedding, even in Feb.
I've managed to once again picked up a cold whilst in the big smoke, started with a sore throat from the minute i got on the tube, and now it's all sinusy. I've only had two days of it and i'm sick of it already!0 -
I found Shell for my Petrol instead.
My friend who I was going to collect lives at Sproughton so I just continued a little further up the A1214 - knew even if Shell had got dearer there was always Sainsbugs then!
How about a bright scarf or some sort with your black outfit? Or a pin-on corsage type affair might work?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

there are a fair few choices about petrol station so you know you're always ok when you get to us. I'm sticking with Morrisons at the moment for their £5 vouchers. We apparently have one being built in the small town near us so i can save the vouchers and use them there for shopping.
When is the next race event? just wondering so i can start pencilling things into my diary lol
Payday today! Yippeeeeeee!
I've already put the numbers through my accounts so i know where i will stand but i can do the transfers tonight which will be good. Also because of the new current account i can test my cunning plan on moving money around to make sure it goes to the right accounts and see if it works.
Hopefully i should also received my £100 switching payment from First Direct as my first salary payment has now gone in there. I wonder how long that will take to arrive. When it does it will be going towards Norbert so i won't see the benefit of it really.
I'm also going to have a look at switching our leccy supply, and OH wants me to find him a new savings account so i'll look around for a good one (if there is such a thing at the moment).
Also have a friend coming over tonight so i can help her with some wedding things. Should have done some of it this week but have felt lousy, but fingers crossed it shouldn't take too long.0 -
Sounds like you've got everything shipshape and organised LT. Hurrah to it being payday as well - I will invoice my clients on Monday and they usually pay me straight away so fingers crossed the cheque will be in the bank on Tuesday. Avon Money should be able to go in tomorrow with any luck. :j
Speedway will start up again in March - but the majority of our meetings will on Thursday evenings so I guess you'll be at work until too late for us to be able to meet up ahead of me needing to be at the track? I'm sure we'll be able to sort something though.

Last night turned into a long evening. It was a lovely time but hard work and we didn't finish until 2 this morning! I'm hoping that in the light of day my friend still likes her table plan board and favour tags. Some would say i have stupidly offered to stitch 4 fabric bags, decorate 25 cake boxes and some thank you cards for her, but i will enjoy doing them and they will take my mind from what's going on at work.
I've transfered my payments and am waiting for them to arrive, for some reason they haven't turned up yet despite their being faster payments. My Halifax payments have always seems to turn up in seconds in my other accounts. It did say it could take 2 hours so i will keep my eye on things.
Not done too much else yet this morning, just watching some episodes of Lark Rise whilst doing the banking, but i need to get a wriggle on and tidy up before OH gets home from work this afternoon.
Today my debt balance has reduced to £11,172 which will be the last time it sees this number, well after next payday that is

Not updated as i've been so busy at work i've not had time or energy to come online.
Not much as changed in the LT household except that my Quidco money has finally arrived, i had already counted this into my monthly figures but it's been sent to the savings account to offset Norbert.
Some bad news though this week, my sister's bunny had died, he was the brother of my bunny and had been through a lot in the past year or so but he was lovely and will be much missed.0
