    Hi everyone

Mr LT baked our first cake in the new house yesterday, i say he made it but it required me to do pretty much everything except turn on and off the mixer.

last night i finished off my cardi, it's ages since i've knitted something for myself. still too scared to try it on, i think i'll be waiting until i've found some buttons to finish it off.

watched a wonderful film tonight, it gets me every time, Marley and Me, i end up bawling my eyes out everytime i watch it.

Lemon Drizzle cake with polenta! Where's the recipe? I love to try new ways of doing things and that sounds lovely. Willing to experiment and report back for everyone.

thanks Piq that would be great if you could be our mad cake scientist.

Starnac my cardi is a grey chunky one, sort of in a jacket style with a cable in it. when it's got it's buttons on it i'll take a photo but not with me wearing it because i wouldn't want to crash this site.

we've made some progress today at home YAY! we've some cupboards built for the craft room and we should be finishing everything off tomorrow so i can then start unpacking my crafting stuff. It will be like shopping all over again amongst all my goodies.

    Hi LT

You seem to be really getting on with things since the move.:j

I know what you mean about building a relationship with a cooker. I am the opposite to you in that I am used to gas and not electric , so struggle with temperature and timings with electric and it.:o

Well done on the cardi sounds lovely. I went on a crochet course yesterday and learnt how to do granny squares ( I had done them before but only if someone started me off). It was really good and there was only 4 of us and the teacher. Hope to make a scarf for myself, will see how it goes.

Did you contact BT or Plusnet about your bad service? I am with you on that as I am still waiting for my new BT line to be installed since 1st March

Right Im off to prepare dinner and who knows may even do some baking,

    Take care

I'm strutting round now, very proud to be mad cake scientist :T
Small problem, I don't have any lemons, polenta or eggs. I've put them on next week's shopping list and will report back on my experiment.

I am allowed to wear the white lab coat aren't I?

Cardi sounds fab. I love chunky cables. In fact I have a purple cable knit dress on today (would love to claim I made it but cannot tell such a lie on a Sunday no less!)

What kind of buttons are you looking for? I have wooden toggle type ones if you want or big brown ones that are fab but have sat in my button box for years still attached to the card they came on so you are welcome to those as well if you want them. Let me know

Exciting about unpacking your craft goodies. It'll be like Christmas all over again.

thanks Starnac, i'm looking for big circular buttons, i need 3 of them, my button box has come up blank, or it will do when i've found it. I don't remember ever cutting some like off anything before.

NRA i'd love to be able to crochet something without it going all frilly, i keep trying but i guess i just get it wrong.

Piq, course you can wear a white coat, as long as you don't turn up on my doorstep to take me away, haha hehe!
i think by the time you've baked it i'll be on a very very strict diet so will only be able to sniff it :(

Can you believe it? we've been in our house a month, time has just flown. We're still planning on putting in a complaint at the solicitors about the actions of our landlords solicitor and to Plusnet about what happened with our broadband.

This weekend we got the units built and work tops in for the craft room, it looks fab! I may have a slight problem that i should probably have not added the feet to the kitchen cupboards which are supporting the desk as it's not too high for a chair comfortably, but maybe i can get some taller comfy chairs/stools or make something. I certainly wasn't going to mention it to Mr LT as we tend not to get on very well when we're doing DIY :)

we had a builder/handy man/ fitter around today about the bathroom, i can't wait until we can get it gutted and refitted, it will look fab and finally be clean. I just don't feel that i can get it clean at the moment.

sorry for the essay, should do some numbers things as it's after payday but as i'm waiting for some money to arrive i've not done much more than pay Mad Mavis £250 as i know i will be able to pay her off in full when it gets here.
