strangely enough we already feel like we've been there for years lol.
we still keep finding little 'treasures' though, recently it was that they've appeared to woodchip the ceiling in some rooms.

Ahh woodchip I remember it so well. When we moved in it 2 weekends and a steam machine to remove it.( not helped by the fact it had been "glossed " about 4 times):rotfl:

Hope the internet gets sorted for you soon, glad you are settling in.

Good luck with the appointments in Luton, its good they are close together makes life a little easier.

    Take care

I'm not sure what they've done to our woodchip, definitely painted it though. We've a wallpaper steamer machine but i'm not sure you can use it on ceilings.

still no broadband, the guarentee for yesterday was as worthless as all of BT's other promises. Hoping for today though.

oh please don't tell me things like that! i'm fit to cry anyway lol

considering that as we've got it in the bathroom and we're gutting that anyway asking them to just put a new ceiling up, may be easier in the long run. or may just be a completely insane idea which will add thousands to the bill.

Hmmm woodchip....and painted over.....You could try saying you're into the retro look :D

It's good to see you back, it's not quite right without you here. I'm sure BT will sort you out eventually. I've heard they're quite good for compensation when they don't deliver on time.

unfortunately/fortunately i'm not with BT, my service provider just needs them to do the work. I am tempted to stop off on the way home and give them a piece of my mind as there's a huge BT place about half a mile away.

Can't believe it's taking so long to get your BB put on.Have they said why it's taking so long?

    we're back online yay!!!!!

Taxi, for some reason an idiot at our supplier decided to cancel our broadband order last thursday. After that it's been a case of them trying to get BT to expedite the reinstated order - which they didn't do in the end grrrr. think i may have a letter to write in complaint, but not sure who to blame to be honest as you have to rely on one sides report of the conversations had.

You blame your supplier for cancelling the order. BT (that particular arm) are under no obligation to expedite anything, and I've never seen them do it unless
    1. It was they who screwed up
    2. It was the other arm of BT that screwed up

thanks Z, i do have a pet hate of BT but what you're saying seems particularly like my situation so i can only assume that for once they weren't the cause.
But i will say that the fact that it took the engineer two days to come out was their fault. They had already said their was a fault on the actual line but decided to try and just do the job from the exchange. Needless to say the line from the post to the house had to be replaced the next day, wish i'd been at home to see it.

hope everyone is having a good weekend, i had a friend round today and spent the morning in knitting circle which was good. I was suposed to be doing some painting but decided that i needed a break and a gossip so that was what happened, i can do some painting tomorrow it's not going to go anywhere.
