have discovered that Mr LT has futher training to undertake, he was only going to chuck out a carton of custard which said BBF nov 11, i mean it was 4 days over, 4 months wouldn't stop me i have to admit, especially as it's UHT stuff. Initially i thought he was mentioning it because it was Nov 10 but it appears not. I can beleive that i actually said to him that the custard didn't know it was supposed to be UU by 4 days ago so i'm sure it's still fine.

You'll have to sit him down and take him through what "Best Before" means, and what "Use By" means.

As him what his "Best Before" date was... ;)

    today's achievements:

surveyor has been to new house, i'm assuming that as he didn't call back that it's not about to fall down :)
Mr LT has found a source of boxes - you have to buy them but round here boxes from supermarkets are like gold dust. Just need to decide how many we need or whether we'd be best/ able to get them from the removals firm
Mr LT has rung around removals companies for quotes, as expected they need to visit or theres an online form
Mr LT took documents to solicitors - this i'm most proud of as he can be really hesitant to drive to places
I've done a temporary budget for the new house. as i'd hoped/expected it is ok, not massively, waste lots of money comfortable but also not squeaky tight like that last few years have been. Oh how things change when your debts are drastically reduced.

Hi LT - just a thought re: boxes. I work in a builders merchants and we get loads of boxes in and very rarely get asked if we have some! A lot of them tend to be really sturdy a well because of the type of thing that is delivered in them! May be worth popping your head in if theres one or two near you!

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!
