Oooooo, I'd forgotten about the sausage dog!! Oh this is almost too exciting to bear - my big cheesey grin of the day is dedicated to LT, and to EQ for reminding us about the potential puppy!!
Tell all LT... *settles on the story mat to wait patiently for LT to begin*0 -

are we all comfortable? then i shall begin......
It's a 3 bed semi which needs some work, it's a corner plot with a garage and drive way and best of all ....... it has Central Heating!!!!
the bathroom will have to be done in a short space of time (within months) and the kitchen needs doing but could wait a year or so. and of course all the rooms need sorting. But i also am going to be able to turn the 3rd bedroom into a craft room.
we're going on friday to measure windows, check where sockets are, look to see what really needs doing urgently etc so i can start planning aka obsessing, over things ready for when we move in.
Yes this does mean we'll be getting a puppy but probably not until next summer time i'd say at the earliest but i will have to reinstate the puppy fund.
Uni thanks for the text, i'm out of credit at the moment as i've been ringing estate agents & solicitors.
Freezer challenge to get sorted, i guess i need to start by making a list of the contents over the weekend so i can start some meal planning. also need to tackle the store cupboards so we could be in for some interesting meals. I'll set aside half of each months housekeeping until we move so that we can afford to fill the thing again when we're in there.
looks like mad Mavis is going to have to wait for a while but i'm sure she won't mind as it's all in a good cause.0 -
No problem LT, remember for decorating to try Freecycle or your paint co-op.
As for bathroom and kitchen, do you have a B&Q near by? If you do, ask a friend or relative (who's over 60) to get you their pensioner discount (Wednesday I think) its 10%.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. thanks for that help Uni, what's a paint co-op? probably something obvious which is passing me by lol. i've started my note book of things to check, ask, worry about, obsess about, plan, scheme and basically just look forward to.
from the lists that will be coming up you're finally going to realise just how stupid i am and the silly stuff i worry about lol
issues sorted today:
picked solicitor to go with - boy should i have continued along those lines professionally it's gonna cost us a fortune.
spreadsheet started to track cost associated with house purchase.
lodgings booked for cats for day of move - although i'm going to see if i can persuade my folks to have them the night before as well so we don't have to get them over to theirs before we start the actual move.
rightmove checked and both properties now say sold stc which makes everything more real.
spreadsheet to get ready to start the freezer challenge0 -

chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?
