that you do Dragon my friend that you do. well unless i have to use the savings for house deposit/legal fees/new car/private operation or any such other potential major payment.

i've just done Mr LT's finances for this month and he's able to contribute £150 towards the bills so that's another £150 into the additional savings to offset Mavis.
oh and just remembered i got a cheque from Halifax to appologise for wasting my time last saturday because the branch manager gave me duff information, that can go in a savings account as well.
boy do i feel that my halo needs shining lol

i think my biggest challenge to get my head around this month (again) is weight loss........

oh and Mr LT brought another two cooked chickens back home for 99p each so i'll have to strip them off the bones and bag them for the freezer. we had some of the ones he brought home last night in tonights tea which was yummy and the carcasses are already in the slow cooker to be turned on when we go to bed. washing machine will also be fed before bedtime and put on the timer - such good use of the cheap leccy :)

what has everyone got planned for the weekend?
tomorrow i'm off to see the estate agents, and then going to my first knitting circle group with a friend and my mum, keep your fingers crossed that the natives are friendly!
sunday we're all getting together for a meal for my dad's birthday and i've booked monday off as i wanted a day off but also as that's my dad's birthday so i'd like to get to see him. I'm also going to see if i can get my car booked in for a service that day. my dad will be 75 which is a major miracle given his health for the past 20-30 years, it's certainly worth celebrating.
  • Hope you are good. I can't comment, never owned a house, but yourevsensible about getting it sold.

    Hope dads thing goes well.

Well done on the chooks x

    you are doing so fab
  • If the knitting group isn't friendly, remember you have a sharp pointy thing in your hand and think "what would Buffy do?"....then run like mad....

My weekend is mainly full of getting myself up to date on all the part completed chores around the house - but I'm also off to see Calendar girls later today with friends, which should be fun (though I'm taking tissues as the film makes me sob like a baby!).

    Have a good 'un.

Nora i love that film as well, always makes me smile.

Knitting group was lovely, very enjoyable. I bought a knitting magazine last week which wasn't something that i often do, anyway there was a little article about hexipuff's that you make into a blanket, i'm seriously liking the look of it, and it would give me an excuse to have a go at using 4 needles without having to make socks lol just need to see if i can find the destructions online for them.

Pippi and Taxi thanks for the kind words, i went into the estate agents and the price has changed on the flat so now we just have to wait for the hoards of people to land on us and beg us for the flat lol

just about to head to my dad's birthday dinner, then meeting Mr LT after he finishes work so we can head to Matalan and pick up his parents chrissy pressies. I've almost finished knitting my nieces cardi, just a little bit of stitching up to do and then i have to search my button box for some buttons and then hey presto it's all sorted.
guess i'd best get rocking and rolling and start by getting dressed.
  • Have fun xx

    Hi Lemon:wave:

Enjoy your day with your dad. :) It will be a very special one for you all.

Hope all goes well with your flat. It will work out for you especially when you have done so much to it and before you know it you will have that little sausage running about the new house:)

    Take care
