LT - how's the puddy tat?
she's fine thanks, hoping the treatment she had works as it's not nice for her to keep going back for it.
Havent been on much the last few days. Have been feeling very ill and have an inner ear infection but at least now the antibiotics are kicking in ... I should be back to form soon.
You have had a busy few days with the catsGood fun trying to get tablets into them. I try and insert the tab into a chunky piece of food and hope she will eat it. The best thing is to make the cat wait a while for its food and it will be real hungry so it won't think too much and wolf it down!!!
:):):)
Loving all the knitting stories. My granny used to knit with her knitting under her arm so it must be an Irish thing too.
When do you think you will be able to get your dream doggie. Will you wait until you move?
Take care
E
Hope you're feeling better soon, not much worse than an inner ear infection. I've got a knack for getting tablets into a cat, involves a pill popper thingie and holding their bodies under my arm so it reduces the wriggle room, may take a couple of attempts but we usually get there.
we won't be able to get our dream doggie until we've moved as we're only in a one bed flat at the moment and we're hoping/intending to move to a bigger house which it looks like will be nearer OH's work and my parents so that will help with the toilet breaks etc. I'd love to be like Pippi and be able to take my dog to work but we're not allowed to bring civilian dogs on site0 -
love the throw, you needn't have worried about putting the piccie on here as it's beautiful and the more the merrier.
I've subscribed to your diary and will have a quick read when i get home.0 -
Hi,
Have to check out the link for the knitting, I'm about to get mine out as I've nothing left to eat and I'm bored. I also have a pumpkin to clean out but that might wait until tmmw.
Love the diary.

Morning Lemon
You never know what's down the road of life Lemon.
Not be long until another wee cheeky face is taken off your signature my dear!!!!! Hard to believe that October nearly over.
Any more viewers for the flat? Keep positive and before you know it you will be in your new house and that little sausage puppy will be running under your feet:):)
take care

unfortunately there won't be the patter of two legged feet in the LT household without medical intervention, which we're not entitled to so it's not going to happen.
payday is tomorrow which hasn't come soon enough if you ask me, it will be good to clear another one of those smilie faces off.
we're in a dilemma about the flat i'd appreciate your opinions:
initially on the market for £82k then reduced after a month to £80k, we've had one viewer who said it wasn't big enough (guess she didn't really check the floorplan before she came ??)
we've found a house we like (the second one as the first one sold to someone else) but can't put an offer in or anything until we have a buyer.
the estate agents have now recommended that we drop the price to £70k to get people through the door and to start a 'bidding war' so that we get more than that.
numbers - mortgage £55k, deposit for new house approx £15k = £70k
legal fees, mortgage fees, moving, estate agents, etc approx £5k
so we need £75k to my reckoning.
now do we put it on at offers in excess of £70k and hope it gets negotiated upwards towards the £75k?
do we wait it out a bit longer before making a move on the price as we've only been on the market for two months?
I really don't know what to do for the best, we're being told there's a possible market slump in the new year so would want to try and get it sorted before then if possible, but i really would like to be able to afford all the fees without resorting to adding them to the mortgage so don't want to have to turn down an offer of about £70k if that turns out to be the only offer.
this is so hard!!! i've never sold anywhere before and i'm not liking it lol0 -
Miracles can happen LT, I'm living proof of that (will tell you full story at some point) never say never.
On the house front, is that a fixed price of 80K or offers over? The only houses I've seen move at all up here is stuff thats fixed price as people know they will get it. I don't think you should go as low as 70K (if its offers over). What about listing it as fixed price of £79995? Also send me the details and I'll get it posted up in here for you.
There was a lady in my street who sold her house (which was identical to 5 others for sale in our street) and she did it by putting a fixed price, painting the whole place, leaving her cooker and putting a lock on her parking space. Hers sold in 3 weeks, the others are still for sale.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hi LT!
With regards to the pricing of your flat, a lot of a agents down here are now advertising places for sale with a price bracket eg, £75,000 - £80,000. This seems to capture peoples attention due to the lower figure with the general idea being that you get a couple of people interested and they bid upwards as they don't want to let it go. It does seems to work, but may depend upon the area!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
end = Mon 28th Sept 2015 DEBT FREE!
I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
we're thinking of going with 'offers in excess of...' there's no way on gods little green earth that i'll accept lower than 75k (she says at the moment anyway) we've decorated throughout and upgraded everything possible.0

payday tomorrow so i can update the money details tonight only variable will be how much OH contributes to bills but we won't know that until he gets his payslip tomorrow and i've worked out all his numbers.
Payment to Mad Mavis of £250 brings that debt to £4,650
payment to savings £600 bringing the 8% savings to £2700 (towards Mavis), now at maximum balance so can only save £300 per month in here until the end
therefore additional savings towards Mavis - £300
Credit card to be paid in full £722 of which £380 was OH's insurance which i've already got the money for.0
