thanks Pippi, you're right it's Mr LT's burfday today and so far that's the only cake he's had, aren't i a bad Mrs LT! I shall bake him something tomorrow probably a coffee cake as he lurves them.
We've had a lovely day together, ended up in town with Mr LT and he's bought himself a new super dooper phone and got his first ever contract. So far i've had to get it sorted to connect to our wireless so i'm wondering what i've got to sort out next. Also went to Bookers (how exciting!) and picked up a huge box of Persil - 90 washes for 10.99 plus vat which was a bargain, think it was 9 quid off before vat.

EQ its my SIL who's strange not the hotwater bottle, the latter is remarkably sane considering it spends a lot of time with her :)

uni i'll take some photo's over the weekend and post. you'll soon pick up the knitting, there's only two stitches really, you just do them in different orders.

our puddy cats have cost us lots today, one had a trip to the vets which we're hoping will sort out her problem, we also got some worming tablets just in case, later we visited Pets at home and picked up some magnetic mice, it would be cheaper for us to fit a new cat flap compared to what we had to pay for the magnetic things. we also got some willow balls for the piggies, well we couldn't leave them out could we?

    Oh but they're worth it!

Spent some time with DD's BF's dog today... so cute. No I'm not getting one. NO.

    I said NO.

I did wash the dog smell off before making a fuss of Small Furry though... just as well we haven't got a Pets at Home as I think she might like a willow ball.

I hope the cat who had to go to the vet is better soon.

she seems to be feeling much better now, so we'll probably be shoving the working tablet down them soon hahahahahaha *manically laughs like an evil witchie MIL*

our piggies love their willow balls, they can take or leave plain willow sticks but they will go through a willow ball in a couple of days. Not sure why they like it maybe it helps their teeth. i have to admit there were some beautiful little piggies in Pets at home when we went, they were a minky colour and so very cute.

lol i'm just biding my time with a doggie, one day we are going to get one but we'll have to wait for a little while.

i've had a fun day today, i've pretty much spent the day knitting, i bought some wool to knit my eldest neice a lovely cardy, i also bought some special wool to knit some snuggly teddy bears, i'm planning on knitting one each for my neices and one for me. Tis a tad annoying though as i can't find my size 5 needles for love nor money so even though i know i have some somewhere i'm gonna send Mr LT out tomorrow to pick me another pair up, they won't come amiss.
  • Hey LT.

Glad to hear the cat's on the mend - and good on you for remembering the piggies!

Dogs my fav pet though - actually just had a friend's Lab come to stay for the weekend which was a lovely dog-fix (even if he did kill off one of my fabric door stops - clearly it looked like it was up to no good). Also reminded me that it's nice to be able to give them back as well!

Congrats on the knitting - and size 5s as well...teeny, tiny stuff! Total sympathy for misplacing them - I manage it with the 2 footers (seriously), so anything smaller has no chance in my house and is often found by someone sitting on the pointy end.

Nora i used to have a sausage dog and she was lovely that's why i want another one so much.
Just trying to imagine those needles, 2 footers?? what do you knit on them? can't imagine them being that round so must be that long. I do use long needles as i knit the northern way with one under my arm size 5's seem large for me as i'm usually using 3's or 4's.

Good luck trying to get the cats to take tablets LT. I used to work in a vet's and my boss thought it was funny getting me to give the kitty cats tablets. I'm hankering after a beagle at the moment. My husky is now at my Mum's (in good company of all the other huskies) and it would be cruel to separate her from her chums.

Also thinking about bambino as well. When is a good time and how do you know if you're doing the right thing? My life has been so topsy turvy with OH's kids (who he actually said he'd regretted having as they take after their mother, his ex who is a nasty piece of work... and that he wished he'd waited). I'm not getting any younger and soon it might be too late. So its a bit of a quandry.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J
  • Ahhh, dogs. I fulfilled a life's dream last year and got myself a rescue dog - mostly German Shepherd, but some other bits in there as well. She came to me in a dreadful state - starved and abused, and covered with grime from head to very long tail. We bonded over gravy bones, her hatred of the bath, and her entertainment at my expense...

Unfortunately, I lost her to cancer a few months later which was heart breaking. But by the time she went, she was a changed dog - vet said that she wasn't sure how, in the final stages of terminal cancer, the dog was not only upright but with a bright coat and a waggy tail. So I'm always comforted that she had a lovely end - even if she did once tie me up in her lead while I was bent over 'poop scooping'....

Now I content myself with helping out others with their dogs - easier on my heartstrings, and a lovely and varied way to get that 'fix'.

As for the knitting - yep, the needles are 2' long and 1" wide...and the only armpit those would fit under, would be the hulk's! I knit throws on them - though others do all sorts, and I keep meaning to have a play with scarves.

Shower - that's an interesting needle range! what are you making?

    Rightyo, I should be ebaying...

i'm not sure when you'll know if it's the right time, but i always thought that i would at the least need to save up enough to cover the short fall on maternity pay. Not that it's of any use to us now as it's not likely to happen.
