Evening everyone
Next time I hesitate about going away during autumn/winter, just remind me of the snow and cold and ask me to get my !!!!! in gear. :rotfl:
Well I haven't put a foot out of the door today, I have been chained to the pc/scanner trying to get the the paperwork scanned up to date, and older stuff thrown out to be shredded (DH's job), I have got all the bank and money stuff done, just going through the receipts now, should do it more often it would be better.
Got my Tesco Eurotunnel vouchers today, so booked our first trip, we will go out just after New Year for a couple of months, and will decide on further trips later, the vouchers last until 31st May. Looks like this weekends 'van trip is off, as it will not thaw until later in the week, and then it is very windy. Luckily not too far away, so will go and join in the socials, and then drive back.
The knitting wool I had ordered for DS's GF's Russian hat has arrived so I will get started on that shortly.
So sorry to hear so many of you are not too good atm, or your friends and rellies are having a hard time, and keep wrapped up warm all of you. Hope our friends in Scotland are managing to keep warm, dry and safe.
((hugs)), spoons, Hi-5's to you all. Take care. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

Evening ladies and gents if there are any about. I've not posted for a bit but have been on and trying to keep up with the threads, just had nothing to say really! Just had a nice fairly quiet weekend to myself, my new obsession is How I Met Your Mother
. Watched the entire second season on Sunday, had already watched all through the first a while back but haven't really seen much more of it, apart from odd episodes in the wrong order. I need more!
Cooked scrumptious spag bol for Saturday dinner, after a bit of a shopping day, and toad in the hole for Sunday lunch. I've now got all of my "down here" gifts and a couple of bits for family too, but am doing most of the shopping for people up north once I've gone up there. Seemed a bit pointless buying things down here and dragging them up with me, when they do have shops there! In fact, unless I went into London, they've got better shops than I can generally get to here. Have been thinking I might just go there now anyway in future when I want/need a shopping day, as the bus had gone up and was flipping extortionate! It would be almost just as cheap to get the train to London and back, and the tube to the bit I want to be at, and I'd have bigger shops and more choice!0 -

Moiliere I will say one for you and your family tonight My thoughts are with you at such a difficult time.
My brother is in hospital still in France awaiting his stent being put in.He has a bad chest infection and its worrying that he is so far away.It always seems to be more worrying somehow when you can't do anything to help.Still he is a tough little monkey ,he was born during the blitz and was the smallest of twins he weighed under 2lb and the Dr concentrated on the bigger twin who sadly never made it.David was a determined little chap though and used to sleep althrough the raids and only woke up just before the all clear sounded My Mum used to sit holding him praying that he would wake up as she knew then that all would be well.He was a 'blue' baby and had problems with his breathing and his general condition but he pulled though and will be 70 next February. My Dad said he wasn't the length of his hand he was so tiny and he slept in a drawer for the first three months with a warm bottle under his blankets to keep his body tempreture up.No such things as special prem baby units in those dark days it was the survival of the strongest. few women had their babys in hospital anyway.
Today has been very cold and foggy here and my son-in-law and I have been sorting out an extra hotel room and train tickets as we are all going up to Liverpool a week Saturday. He and two of the boys are going to the match at Anfield and DD and I and the other two little boys are going for some retail therapy at Liverpool one hopefully. We have been checking out the sights to see whilst the lads are at the footie .we will try to see as much as we can.
Tonight we broke up from Uni and I have got my new essay title for my next essay its to be about Bazelgette's work on the London sewrage system in the 19th century.Lots of reading to do in the next 4 weeks.
well time for bed as Zebadee would say
Good night God bless all here
