Morning folks, hope you are all well, hugs to anyone needing one. There has been another couple of inches of snow overnight, it feels like here we go again, another hard week ahead. The car still hasnt moved since last Friday - just as well as its low on diesel and there is no diesel to be had in town, so walking boots on and heigh-ho heigh-ho of to work we go!
Pizza and wedges for tea tonight, sandwich for lunch not sure what will be on it - whatever is in the fridge and is on the top of the cold meat pile!
Hope you all have a safe and cosy day.

Morning All
Cold and foggy this morning.
I hate this weather worse than snow because it triggers my asthma, so I spent most of yesterday nebulising every 4 hours and have gone on to steroids (I have to keep a back up pack for when I need them) So I am going to try to get to see the GP this morning, DD will have to let the boiler man in if he gets here before I get back.
Must tackle the washing mountain today - I didn't get anything done yesterday so I will try to catch up a bit today.
Well off to scream at DS as usual
Keep warm all xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning everyone
Up and ready at this time on my last day off as I have a blood test at 8.20, its a fasting one so I can't even have a nice cuppa to warm me up before I go out.
After that I am popping into town to get a few bits, then home to try and finish off some stuff I have made.
Tea tonight is leftover veg from yesterday and errrrrrrrr something.
Have a good day xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Had a good productive day yesterday, Xmas decs up at last and I deep cleaned the front room, need to do the dining room sometime this week and put a few decs up in there also.
Have got loads of paperwork done over the weekend and this morning so feel much happier with myself.
OS wise, not too much but just about to put gammon joint in the slowcooker, will be having it with bubble n squeak (leftovers from yesterday) and fried eggs.
Off now for another coffee, have a great day.x0 -

i dont think a lot of os will be going on here. the christmas tree is finally up and the first thing ds did was grab a handful baubles... he's not touched it this morning mind. gave him a bauble that had lost its thread which is keeping him happy enough.
need to have general tidy up. house never seems to be tidy. drives me mad. alan is a lazy toad at the best of times. constantly finding his socks lying around! think i am going start stapling them to his feet. any tips on how to get a man to tidy up after himself??
food today - i havent a clue. chicken is out of the freezer so will have to rummage through the cupboards to see what i have to go with it. alan has prawn cocktails sandwiches for lunch.
ds' croup was seeming a lot better over the weekend but he's coughing non stop again this morning. will just have to see how he goes.

Hello everyone
Chilly and frosty here but the snow only a tiny bit went Saturday. Pavements still slippy yesterday where the sun didn't catch them. Pond in the garden still iced over and Dolly sits on it. She'll get a fright when it melts-hope I am around to fish her out!
Chicken pie for tea tonight and then maybe soup tomorrow. OH not working today doesn't do Mondays any more.......Nor do I but I have to go in for an hour or two as I have to support a learner to finish her NVQ 2 on time. Busy time of year......
I am looking forward to the lighter mornings.
Have a good day everyone and keep warm.
Take care

(((hugs))) to Esmf and anyone else who is down or poorly
minus 7 here , DH has struggled to get into his car and said its completely iced up inside and out  he is sat in a traffic jam now as is always the case when the weather is bad as everyone has to stick to the main route
DD1 is about to catch the bus to school , no doubt she will be late too due to the traffic
DD's put the tree up yesterday and have done a good job but have left such a mess - boxes , tinsel , and general carp and i dont know if i have the energy to clear it up
have a good day all , keep warm xx0 -
Morning all, general hugs, good luck wishes and feel betters for everyone!
Eating breakfast and reading posts, it's jst over an hour until my hellish week of exams/deadlines everyday begins. I'll be working on my luinch break at work and hitting the maths the moment I get home! I've not had a grade under 70% yet and I am determined not to let a sliiiightly heavy work load ruin that!
The disgustingly dirty flatmates are annoying me a bit, one gets very defensive if i ask him (calmly) to put his pile of crisp packets, coke cans and choc wrappers in the bin rather than on the lounge floor and yesterday got really angry when I asked him to wash up my cutlery that he'd used over a week ago and left!! But today is our cleaning day, they know I am pedantic and remember everything(even what day and what he ate with my cutlery...) so will do their jobs, but I'm going to put one of our HUGE bins from outside in the living room in the hope they use it. I don't have much need for the lounge but I'd like to feel I could actually use it if I wanted, yet the flatmate with a giant 10x4m room has taken it over and is there 12-12 on his xbox leaving rubbish and dirty plates everywhere.
Oh wellMe and OH are eating together tonight: giant yorkshire puds filled with veg, mash and 1/2 a chicken breast from yesterday for him.

Morning all
Woke up quite early with a guilty conscience about all the things I haven't done over the past week, yet am still here in bed; it's minus something ridiculous outside with freezing fog, so I have no wish to venture outside yet. Having said that, I've recified some of the things already by writing a letter and some e-mails in bed, so now only have two more things to sort out :j
Am thinking that today I'll get some more of the house sorted, and maybe pop out for a couple of hours later in the day when it's hopefully warmed up. I'll be going to a needlecraft shop and I'm hoping to avoid temptation.
Have just spoken to the OH in Kenya, who's been out again last night. I'm trying not to worry about money as dad has said we can borrow some until this contract is paid, but I'd rather avoid that if possible.
Apart from that, it'll be something with prawns from the freezer tonight, unless OH's friend pitches up, in which case it'll be a giant cottage pie with veg.
Loulou - I had the same problem with the OH and his lack of tidiness. I stopped tidying until it was so awful he couldn't stand it and started himself. It takes some willpower, but it's worth it in the end!
Right, I'd better pack the eBay things which sold over the weekend and take the doggo out before she combusts with excitement.
Have a good day all, and hugs to those that need them.

Morning everyone
Trying to get on earlier today then I dont miss posting. Very icy here, will get wrapped up in a short while to take pup for a walk.
Went to the village christmas light up event yesterday, it was lovely loads of people had turned out. Father Christmas also arrived in the village, there was a firework display and free warm mince pies which were delicious. DS2 got a free hand warmer too.
os today so far dw on. Have lots of jobs to do today as my parents are coming at the weekend to babysit as it is my birthday and my dh & i are going out for a meal, so need to get house straight. I also need to do a job application. I have refilled the bird seed containers this morning as they were empty and there were lots of birds waiting to be fed.
Lunch today will be a toasted sandwich and some fruit salad. Dinner tonight will be roast chicken, potatoes and veg.
I still havent started my christmas shopping, my ex owes me maintenance money and ds1 owes me £100 which he said he would pay last friday(still not got it). Until I get this money in I cant even make a start as I am not working I have no spare cash.
ESmf73 ((hugs to you))
Butterfly Brain - hope you are feeling better soon.
Tru - Hope you are better soon too.
Loulou2010 - Hope your pain eases soon and your ds gets better soon.
Enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care.
