Thanks everyone for their help. I spotted a mistake in my original posting in that the connection date was actually September and not October but that doesn't make much difference.
I am planning on sending the January bill as it should be through the door early next week but I will phone OSPS on Monday just to get confirmation from them. Better safe than sorry with this!0 -
Just to prove that bright and spark are not part of my makeup :
Connected on the 20th December :
Cashback on months 6, 8, 10, 12:
Month 6 Period: 20 Jun - 20 July
Month 8 Period : 20 Aug - 20 Sept
Month 10 Period : 20 Oct - 20 Nov
Month 12 Period : 20 Dec - 20 Jan
(taken from OSPSs cashback calculator)
Statement date 24th Monthly
On the 20 June, the May bill will be 27 days old. Do I have to sent this bill off by special delivery on the 19th (to get there on the 20th) as this bill has to be received before the 21st June (before 28 days) .
Or
Do I send the bill dated 24th June.
Sorry about this, but cannot get my head around this system. I have read and reread this thread 4 times, gone through previous discussions on OSPS and am now more confused than ever.
On the positive side - I have a couple of months to try to get my thoughts straight
Thanks all0 -
It is obvious that if so many of us can interpret the T&C in different ways that it is not as clear as it is could be be. Therefore I can only suggest that you email OSPS what you think and ask them if this is correct. This is what I did so if there is a problem I have it in black and white.0

The way I do it:
Connection date: 5 Jan 07.
Do not think of number of bills just think of month's connected.
So 6, 8, 10, 12.
Would be 5 July
5 Sep
5 Nov
5 Jan
From these dates you have 30 days to claim. If you have a recent bill fine send that. If you can send the bill which arrives just after that date i.e. 10 -15 days after then send that. Just make sure you send off your claim to arrive with them within 30 days of the 5 Jul, Sep Nov and Jan.
I fail to see why they can send anyone's claim back for sending wrong bill. IT IS NOT THE BILL WHICH DETERMINES THE CLAIM it is the months from connection!
If you send your claim in too early or too late then they can reject it which is fair enough.
So in precis:
1) Get your original connection date
2) Write down 6 months 8 months 10 months 12 months (or as appropriate), that is when you need to send in your claim (within 30 days).
3) Send most recent bill. Last one you have or next one providing you can still get the claim in within the 30 day period.
4) I sent mine Royal Mail Guaranteed Special Next Day Delivery - ok costs £4.10 but when you are claiming up to £100 its worth it!
Hope this helpsI am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -

I have emailed osps and im awaiting a reply and i will post when i recieve it, the confusion is there on the screen shot i have of my order, the cashback is redeemable at m4 but i have to send in a copy of paid m4 bill
My example being im due to send m4 bill now is that tha charge for m4 (jan) or am i due to send m4 paid bill (Feb)? going via e2saves calculator i am due to send in january bill m4 (charge) which is dated 19th january and will become too old on the 19th feb but my claim cannot be recieved untill 17th feb so if they dont process my bill 17/18 then they can reject it which is what im scared about but according to osps calculator i can claim between 17 feb-17 march so at the moment im leaning towards holding out for the feb bill which i should recieve 22 ish feb and sending that one in.The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
