May well be irrelevant but like you keep saying (yawn) it's a public forum therefore by your standards i am allowed to tell them what i think whether yoy like it or not- and judging by your tone i'd say not. :p

Say what you like love....but then you can't come out with it "don't give 'em" speech

and you should phone Bill Gates since you are the first person to be able to ascertain tone from the written word;)
  • Wow lots of stereotypical views on this thread!

Oh and for the poster that said there is no need to be in this situation in this day in age you do realise that ALL contraception has a failure rate?
    Nothing is 100% effective.

The girl in question may of had a job before she fell pregnant also has everyone just ignored the fact she was in an abusive relationship? The girls is 18 some people are so quick to condemn her how about a little support? Does anyone here posting their snide opinion know what it is like to be in a violent relationship?

Also not all young mums are just out to make a career out of claiming benefits! I was 19 in work had a finance, Life changes!!

And as for the suggestion of abortion/adoption because the mother is having a hard time financially at the moment well not really going to even say what I think of that just that this won't last forever.

Plenty of people struggle and are still good parents with lovely children.

Good luck to your daughter OP. Wish you all the best.

I don't doubt she did make an honest mistake but there are rules there and if they are not adhered to then sanctions must be placed.

When does it end? 1 warning, 2...3?

But there is/maybe a black area. She did apply. If she never even made the effort to apply then fair dues you get sanctioned.

One question that i have wondered is that if you can't apply directly to the store. Where did she get the application form from?.

It is you that are walking around with your eyes shut. JSA is for job seekers, not people who dont want to work because they know that in a few months time they will be getting even more benefits to raise a child.

Where has it been said she dosen't want to work?. Show me proof and not peoples assumptions.

    How about abstinence ?

If you play adult games they have adult consequences.
Thanks to MSE I cleared £37k of debt in five years and I was lucky enough to meet Martin to thank him personally.

But that's the issue...they don't know that she tried to apply...I have given options to the OP to see if that could be rectified.

Good second question actually...maybe she popped in and asked for one....maybe OP will be back to tell us.
