In my area the word 'maul' is used to describe the moving of heavy items, hence my use of the word earlier.0 -
As I said, I have thanked alot of people who have tried to offer help, whether I agree with their methods or not, at least they took the time to post what they thought was a solution. And for the record, no I don't advocate benefit fraud, nor would I suggest it.
Don't take any notice of DMG 24 - just thinks he's above everyone else!0 -

Ahhhh I didn't know that. Your sentence makes sense now although is a little telling if you didn't think they would employ her.
Thanks for clarification on the regional word thing though.0 -

I am a she - and the only people I think I am above are horrid scammers!Gone ... or have I?0 -
My reasoning that they wouldn't employ her is that due to the current jobs situation both in my area and in the country as a whole, they can take their pick of applicants so why would they take on someone who would need to be risk assessed and be exempt from lifting when they could choose someone who would be alot less paperwork? I know people have mentioned pregnant Boots employees previously in the thread but I assume that they were already employed by Boots before they were expecting. Employers have alot of applicants for each job, even before my daughter was pregnant she was struggling to even get interviews, since she has had to declare her pregnancy on applications she has not had a single one.0

So you think we should encourage scamming and committing fraud? In that case it is clearly not me that has a problem with their morals!
OP, this isn't aimed at you, I am not calling you a scammer - passatrider likes to follow me round and try to take threads off topic.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Well i have to say that some people are trully sickening, this woman was asking advice from whom she thought would be the best possible place and some people just condemn her daughter.
I for one would rather pay my tax for a girl who just needs a bit of help while she has her baby and gets back on her feet in what sounds like a pretty traumatic time good luck to her. We pay tax for junkie's who have no intention of ever working or getting "better" and are given no time restrictions to their benefit as they are deemed to ill to work so therefore get no hassle at all.
So given these two choices i know how i would rather pay my tax for.
Cant remember who said it but they hit the nail right on the head by saying that if no one was on benefits tax would not be reduced. Spot on
OP good luck to your daughter i hope it all works out and despite everything going on that she can enjoy what is meant to be a special and beautiful time. Oh and good ridance to bad rubbish (the ex)!! xx0
