I tried to get them to price match at my local store today. The person who served me was adamanant that they wouldn't price match. In the end, I ordered the camera I wanted online at £30 cheaper. With a 512MB memory card and next day delivery it ended up at only £5 more than Jessops.

Won't be going there again. A total waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

Refused deal, so I bought a Jan 2007 magazine featuring their price promise. Was told that they would honour it instore, but then when I asked for their Buy Now Pay Later deal that, because this was different deal, they wouldn't honour it. Have now spoken to their online shop who again told me they no longer do price promise (I didn't even mention the Buy Now etc. deal).

They are a waste of time. I think an email to trading standards is in order.

Well my camera is now in hand, so I'm happy as Larry. Arrived super fast, well packed and all seals intact. Well pleased.

Jessops can forget ever getting any custom from me!

In case anyone is wondering if Jessops are still running the 110% difference offer. THEY ARE, sort of. They wouldn't allow the offer to my wife this morning. I called head office they said the same. But a reminder about the advert in January's Digital Photo magazine "jogged his memory" and he told me to return to the store.

Went back to the store armed with print out, magazine and credit card and they weren't happy but I saved £111.36, it should have been less but they cocked it up and I "Forgot" to point it out. I'll call them later... ;-)

It is the same offer as last year when this thread started on cameras, camcorders and printers.

Good luck, just don't expect to make any friends...

I see that Jessops have revealed that their profits are down by 15%.... they're blaming supply issues over Christmas.

Nothing to do with the huge !!!! up over this price match stuff then?!?! ;-)

Sadly this is no longer true. Contacted Jessops who said, we do match local stores & we will look at some web sites to see what we can do. I asked about a Sony Camcorder which they had in thier "sale" for £599. They were selling it on Amazon for £479 with free shipping. The guy went away to speak to the manager, but came back & said they couldnt take anything off the price.

Shame as they were really good a few years ago - (

Can you price match something after using a discount code. Dixons online has a camera costing £300 but after discounting (using online code XMAS10) it is £280, so can i use 280 as the price?

Jessops still price match! I talked to one of the sales guys today - and they said they can match online prices!

Most of this thread is almost a year out of date.... Jessops seem to have different policies in different stores. When this offer was running I asked them to price match my NIKON D40 from currys and they said yes .. When I showed them I got a free second lense they refused to do it.
