It seems to be still on today - I'm waiting for my voucher so I can book it but haven't had it though yet. Think you get it sent once the deal is closed. I'm going to try and get it done ASAP though so should be able to let you know how it goes soon!
I hope it's not the version that you need to leave it on for three days, I don't think I would be able to stop myself tucking it behind my ears.

If anyone has had it done already - did they give you an option of having it a bit wavy but smooth IYKWIM - don't really want it poker straight, just want the fluff gone!

Edited to add - Sainsburys now do a home Keratin kit for £9.99. I'm gonna give that a go I think. It won't do any harm after all!

hi,just wondered if anyone has tried this?and if so,could it be used to keep hair curly but frizz free?
    cheers

would love to hear how it goes.
I think you have to leave all the professional ones on for three days dont you? Sometimes hairdressers say two becasue people get fed up but my hairdresser said def 3 days and also must use straighteners on those days if any kinks appear after sleeping.

BTW does it go very flat when straight or can you still use brush when drying to put some bounce in?
  • Hi guys!

Yes BBD still going strong around 6 weeks after I had it done. Still frizz free when I blow dry it :) I'm so happy!

Moneylover- urgh shame you missed that Chelmsford deal. I'm going to start keeping my eyes open for a groupon deal because I'll probably have to have it done again in March/April.

Yes I believe most bbd brands say you have to leave it in for up to 4 days but mine only had to stay on for 24hours but I left it for 3/4 days because I think the longer you leave it the better. It was a brand called Inoar.

Anyone having it done please let us know how it goes! X
  • Also MoneyLover you can still use a brush to create volume and bounce as your hair isn't ironed poker straight. I have been able to flick the ends with a round brush and hairdryer and curl it with tongs and it still holds like it did before I had the treatment x

thanks for this was wondering if you could still shape hair okay I just want it to stay how I do it not going back to what it is naturally after the tiniest bit of moisture in air. I have to say that if I had a professional blow dry every other day I wouldnt have a problem, the hairdresser manages to create frizz free hair for me!

I have 99% decided to get my very good hairdresser do it for £120 as special offer in feb and then I will have a benchmark and will rely on deals after that

Is your hair shinier for the treatment or did that wear off?

If you like the effect of the hairdressers blow dry, look into investing in the babyliss "big curl". It's not cheap (retails at about £50), but OMG the results I've had have been fantastic! Basically, I have shoulder length, thick, curly/wavy hair which is constantly frizzy, but I hate the poker-straight look you get from straighteners.

I bought the babyliss machine (it's a styler - heats and rotates at the same time, like a hairdresser does with a blow dry) a few weeks ago and it's worked beyond all my expectations. To say I love it would be an understatement! It's really easy to use/get the hang of and the results are fab. I've tried all sorts, from expensive hair treatments/shampoos/conditioners to ionic hairdryers and special brushes, but this is the only thing that's worked for me.

It can give a lot of volume, and can encourage the waves/loose curls in your hair, but you don't lose all volume the way you do with straighteners. I've had so many people compliment me on my hair since I've bought it :).

    Hope this helps someone!

the Bayliss does sound useful wish I knew someone who has one. Generally good reviews on Amazon although one girl with frizzy hair said just made it worse!
I think I am going for the BBD and then re evaluate if this isnt the stuff of my dreams!

Go for it! I had another one yesterday and the last one has lasted me 5 months. I could have got another month out of the last one but coloured my hair at Xmas and it left it very dry.

does it leave the hair shinier/better condition and does this last as well as the straightening?
