I live in Essex and went to my salon last night (Mack in Chelmsford) for a cut last night.
I asked about the Brazilain - they use Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy by Coppola
its usually £180 but temporarily £130 during jan and feb. Included in that is the products you need.
I also asked about having a trainee it would normally be about £110
If anyone is interested I can ask more questions jus t pm me.
The website for the salon is http://www.mackhairdressing.co.uk/index.php?id=55 they are very good hairdressers.
So a groupon experience may not work out a huge amount cheaper.

hi easy tiger, i had Global Keratin done, they do a range of products and the shampoo/conditioner are excellent but £15 each a pop. My salon suggested keratin treatments arent equal in quality, they did a lot of research and found Global Keratin to be the best.
They keep a book recording all the clients that have had it done, no complaints and some people have had it last 5 months, but everyone has reported it lasting over 3 months.
Anyone thinking of having it done, have your colour done first! Home dyes are the worst for stripping it out, they contain that sodium. I had salon highlights on my parting at 6 weeks post treatment, no problem at all.0 -
Hi all,
I will be doing my first wash shortly!
As I said previously the hairdresser told me I could wash off the treatment the following day but I thought I'd leave it longer. On the FAQ website for the brand Inoar http://www.inoar.co.uk/faq.html they say that treatment can even be washed off even an hour after.
For 2 days it's been a pain trying to keep it dry, and trying not to tuck it behind my ears. I popped out to the supermarket yesterday and it snowedI had no brolly so had to sprint to my car pushing my trolley.
Arghhh I'm really excited to see the results. There's so many brands and different people have had different outcomes. If this one doesn't work amazingly then I would give it one more try with another brand in a couple of months.
Anyway.. I'll post later x0 -
are you going to post a picture? good luck!! Should be lovely for Christmas and New Year!0

**** THE VERDICT ****
Sooooooo... I shampooed and conditioned with the recommended products from the same brand of treatment. While and after I'd washed out the conditioner my hair felt so smooth... like there was still conditioner on it. I then put on the recommended leave in-conditioner before blow drying. I blow dried using only my fingers. I love it! I was expecting my hair to be more wavey so I am very surprised. However once my hair was dried off, some parts still felt dry but definitely no more drier then it was before. Very very happy.
Here are some pics. Sorry they are not great quality, they were taken on my phone.
This was once they had roughly blow dried my hair just before applying the treatment. Sorry You can see it very well with my dark hair and the dark cape thing around me http://img96.imageshack.us/i/img0343sk.jpg/
And here are some taken in the last hour with only my fingers and and hairdryer used. http://img219.imageshack.us/i/img0345t.jpg/

Once I run the straighteners through it later I'm sure it'll be perfect. But I would be happy to leave the house as it is.. which is what I was always after from this treatment.
Frizz has definitely been eliminated and it is 100% more manageable. Next time I was it I'm going to let it dry naturally and see what the result it. I hope it never wears off0 -

Dundee. As far as I am aware £125 is the cheapest in the city but others around the country are bound to be doing the same.If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -

Wow! The results are amazing so far (not that I;m saying your hair was really bad to sart with!). your hair looks great now and I'm sorely tempted. I think I'll look out for the sainsbury home kit first and consider the real deal in the New Year.0 -

I think I will have to get to grips with this after christmas - I might start with my own salon's offer at £130 with products as a benchmark - wouldnt want to pay their full price of £180 the rest of the year.0
