thank you for going to all the trouble of posting pictures etc and am so glad you are so pleased with the results.
For me the test would be after I had gone out in the damp as my hair can be fine after blowdrying with a dryer and brush but one side then instantly frizz. My hair much worse since hit sixties and heavier colouring programme.
We must all keep each other up to date with results and with the offers - they do abound - as this thread well worth keeping going.
    Happy Christmas everyone!

  • Oh what a shame, I checked this too late the offer has expired. I will be having another BBD when this one wears off and i think the way forward are these deals. I'm sure there'll be lots more in the coming months.

I had my keratin straightening on a groupon offer recently for £63. TBH, I wouldn't pay that much again, as once i'd washed it (after the reccommended 5 days ) It still takes me 1 hour to dry and straighten my hair. Granted, it looks good when I've finished, but not that good. If it had stayed as fabulous as the day it was done, I would have gladly scraped together £200 every 23 months to have it done - no question.

I was really disappointed as i've struggled with my hair for years. It's curly, but not that I can wear it like that - theres too much frizz :( I'm still on the lookout for that miracle cure.

Edited to add - Sainsburys now do a home Keratin kit for £9.99. I'm gonna give that a go I think. It won't do any harm after all!

have you tried the sainsburys one yet-what brand is it so i can look out for it?
my hair is fine and curly, prone to frizz.i like the curls but not the frizz,so not fussed about its straightness.
    thanks

I think there are some Essex ladies on this thread so thought I'd give you the heads up on the Groupon deal today - £49 for a Brazilian Blow dry (Keratin treatment) instead of £300 (seems a bit steep TBH). It's a salon in Chelmsford that I've not been to but has a good reputation.

I did a DIY job just before Xmas last year and was really happy with the results, but the fumes and faff was not fun, so am excited to see how different the salon version is.

If you refer someone you get £6 groupon credit so PM me first!

wow - thanks, will look, am Chelmsford!
Now am I brave enough, frizzy enough, have time enough!!!
Easy -Tiger, how is yours looking a few weeks after you had it done - in terms of straightness and condition etc! Have you had a subsequent cut?
They would have an easy time with me as hair fairly short.

I know where the salon is - I would describe it as 'middling' but I think fine for this treatment
I rang up and asked how much normally its £150 - £200 according to length of hair

I thought it could never be £300, however my hair is longer than my bra clip and really thick so I reckon I'd get stung for the top price. I'm excited, my hair was so lovely and well behaved when I did the home version I am expecting great things getting it done properly!
