I think Im now of the opinion if anyone is stupid enough to bid on his listings after seeing his appalling feedback then they deserve to be ripped off.

Its like an Art Shop with a big sign over the door saying con merchant.

Reported it anyway to eBay for what its worth.

To whoever emailed me the link to this page. I bought one of the Steve Irwin signed photos from this seller.

After I had paid by cheque and it had cleared he contacted me to say that the item had been posted and I should receive it in 2-3 days. (1st class? Normally next day)

3 weeks & several emails later I still had not received it, nor any replies to my emails. I got his contact details from Ebay and phoned him. He told me that he had been in hospital and that his brother was supposed to have posted it. He assured me that it would be posted the next day. It arrived 2 days later in an A5 envelope recorded delivery with a £1 stamp. (£10 postage?!!!!)

The photo is printed on genuine Kodak paper, written on the back in black pen is *2002 S.I *5 AUST." The signature on the front is written in a thicker black pen, but the lines in the signature do seem a bit "wobbly", as if it had been drawn slowly to ensure accuracy. This does not happen in a real signature as they are normally signed quickly and the ink flows in straight lines. Also the "R" in the autograph is different to the genuine signatures I have looked at, I checked anothe phto that he sold and the R is the same on that one too. Generally Steve's Rs are quite precise.

It certainly seems after reading this that I have been conned by this person. I am a huge Steve Irwin fan and have bought a lot of genuine items from Ebay. It is a shock to be caught in this way and I am now looking at Autographs with much more scrutiny. A COA helps too, I guess I was just too trusting. There seems to be a seller in Germany that has an unending private collection of Steve's autographs that he is selling without COA's. Needless to say, I shan't be bidding on one of those!

I see that the Picasso listing he has up at the moment has quite a few bids. Is it worth directing them to this page, or will the item be removed again? Are they shill bids?

People like this disgust me. Especially after Steve's untimely passing, to make profit on his death is a disgrace. There are a lot of people out there with little or no conscience other than profit.

Why are ebay not interested in scammers like this, and yet they'll happily cancel auctions from decent sellers for no good reason and with no proper explanation?
