Being a juvenile of course would mean he may have a false credit card recorded on his sellers account.........
They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.
  • Picasso can't be original, see this web page.

Unless he did another afterwards but I can't see why he should.

The original was sold a couple of weeks ago by 'mdfineart', a reputable fine art dealer and Powerseller on Ebay - he has notified Ebay and, from contact I have had with him, may progress it through more legal channels, outside Ebay. As we all know, the fraudulent seller's details were freely available - because of the value (the original went for circa $3,500) and the provenance of the piece, it's not impossible that the Police Fine Arts squad may become involved. I'm sure that a certain Halesowen College will be thriled if the Old Bill turn up! ;)

Lol - he's young, VERY stupid and with a natural criminal tendency! ;)

Like you say - he'd be well advised to hand his shovel back to his Dad! :rotfl:

This is the website for Halesowen College

Somebody may consider using the feedback form on that site to let them know how one of their prize students is trying to fund his college education..........

I of course would never dream of doing such a thing ;)

  • Nice to see this
"The seller ended this listing early to sell to the high bidder(s) at current bid price."
on his latest 2 efforts. Hope that he goes back to selling car badges, at least this could be completely legal. Unless there are a lot of cars going around without badges.
Edit. Didn't read auctions correctly, he actually made money out of these. Shame.

The Irwin was ended early to sell to the highest bidder and the Picasso was ended early 'due to an error in the listing'-you dont say, surely there wasnt an error in the listing???

I guess he ended the Irwin one before it got pulled by eBay so he can at least rip the buyer off for the £20 it had achieved at that point.

    LOL!
    Interesting read!
Looks like a budding Art forger at work.
I expect he got the signed photos of Mr Irwin by buying a postcard which he has copied. He might have got the Autograph on the postcard or he might have had a book with a printed signature.
He could easily use Kodak digital photo paper to print out the photo then put it back in the printer and print the 'autograph' over the top to look as though it is signed with ink. If he is a good Artist ,he could just 'sign' his print with a pen.
The drawings are even easier. Print out a copy or find one in a book. Take some thin paper (slightly see through layout paper would be good or even A4 typing paper) then using a pencil, trace everything. Frame it to make it less obvious.
Pity he doesnt use his skills for something honest and worthwhile.
