The original thread seems to have been deleted?

Remember the guy ( dprbirch then changed it to cooper_uk) the other day who had sold dummy phones to unsuspecting punters, then stole a completed Picasso listing and listed it as his own? He's relisted the Picasso, after he ended it early on :mad:

pretty sure that adding 2.5 to pay for fees is against Ebay rules (as is asking them to send by Western Union)

Does this not just underline how crass eBay are?

On the last thread dozens of us reported this guy and also the seller of the original artwork who's listing this scammer had copied also reported the theft and yet here he is again! The most eBay seem to do, if anything, is remove the listings. This is not just someone making a minor infringement of eBay's rules - this is a criminal. Are eBay not complicit in such frauds by allowing him to continue to list?

I have again reported him for fraud, shill bidding and non allowed payment methods/terms and again added that I will let any buyer know that I reported it to eBay so that if they take no action then they are supporting fraudulent activity.

Anyone know why the last thread was pulled??

i think someone on here ruined it last time by emailing the bidders to warn them and linking them to the original thread on here. however because he shill bids they emailed him,he read the thread and that i had bid on them, so he pulled the auctions. if it had been left to run ebay might have had time to act and my 2nd account might have won them

There is a site here and if you enter a seller's item no it will check to see if any bidders have bid on previous listings from the same seller....pretty easy to spot a shill bidder by using this:

Oh there is plenty of time for that. Perhaps they are in the dispute process and waiting for that to be resolved before leaving a negative. Some people do wait to leave a negative until the matter is resolved (or not) as it can act as leverage to get the issue sorted.

Yet again eBay continue to astound. At least twice this seller has had listings removed because he stole someone's listing and copied it and/or because he was trying to scam somebody by trying to sell items he didnt have and yet he is still an active member.......he will get his listing fees back and is no worse off. How many more times will they allow it to happen - this is fraud!

Im keeping a record of his activities and if someone does get scammed I will email the buyer the details so they can take it up with eBay who I believe are aiding and abetting.

someone actually has to report this guy to the police, he's not scamming people out of a pound or 2, he's attempting to pass off fake artwork by world famous artists which could earn him a lot of cash and selling dummy phones but presenting them as genuine working phones for the majority of the listing(showing the RRP and technical specifications) and no matter how many times he claims it, he is not on the correct side of the law.
