  • As it appears this is the only way to get a response from Darren I would also like to know when I will receive my refund requested for the undelivered items ordered.

I also ordered items on 1/12/10 for delivery on 05/12/10. No deliveries were made and it was not until I chased this up I got an email say do to weather conditions a courier had been sourced to help with back log and delivery would now be on 9 or 10/12/10. As no time was specified I waited at home for another 2 day but to not surprise nobody turned up! I have been unable to talk to anyone on the phone and am now only receiving automated email responses.

If I do not receive an immediate response with regards to the refund requested for order 5204 I will also be left with no alternative by to report you and your company to the police also.

There are to may reoccurring themes and strongly warn anyone from using this company!!!!!!!
  • The website appears to have gone and is now a text page stating.
The site is now closed as all stock is now sold

If you have placed an order and have been advised your order has been despatched and need to chase or change a date, please contact us by visiting our contact page.

I recommend putting any paypal/nochex claims in now and contacting trading standards asap.
  • Hi there,
We are facing exactly the same problems - no sign of tree, no further comms from the company and now even the courier company are saying they doubt we are ever going to see it (well not before Xmas anyway) - has anyone has any joy getting a refund (we have posted on the feedback form that has replaced the website)

Darren if you are reading these the order no is 4662 (63.90)

Doesnt fill me with confidence when their own website says "If you need to chase"

I would suggest all to put in claims with Nochex, Paypal or what ever other means as advised earlier.

  • Just to let you know even when you get a tree it might not necessarily be what you ordered.

My tree was ordered in early Nov and it should have been delivered on Friday 17th Dec. I took a long weekend off work to wait in for it. I didnt receive any communication regarding its arrival and none of my emails were acknowledged or answered. The tree didnt arrive and I've still no reply to any of my emails. I do accept the terrible weather must make deliveries difficult however I dont accept the lack of communication. The necessity to sort another tree (as its was the last weekend before christmas) lead me to emailing and cancelling my order yesterday.

A delivery company called me today to try and arrange delivery of a box tomorrow (once I've gone back to work) but didnt think it was a christmas tree as they 'didnt deliver live christmas trees'. The label said it was from christmas trees2u so he wasnt particularly happy. I ordered a 9-10ft tree and stand for about £133 so was suprised to hear it was coming in a box, especially when it turned out the box was only as big as the delivery man. Needless to say, I rejected the delivery as I could get a 6ft tree locally for less than half the price and hadnt been rammed in a box.
I've requested a refund from Mr Billingham and paypal. Whether I'll get it is a different story....

Mr Billingham, my order number is 4633!
  • I too, ordered a tree from this site , I paid £65. My tree never arrived. I got in touch with Nochex who were in receipt of my money. They have emailed me saying I will get a full refund within 3 days. I hope so. I have also notified my credit card and they have said that they will suspend the payment in lieu of investigation. Annoying thing is, I waited all this time for the tree when I could have just got one elsewhere, they were not any cheaper. Their website just happened to pop up at the top of the search engine. I buy a tree online every year from a different company and have never had a problem.

I ordered a real xmas tree from this website and they have not delivered. They have also changed their payment method from paypal (which I paid with) to nochex. They have 2 contact numbers on their site - the landline one is occassionaly engaged or just rings out and the mobile number goes to an orange answerphone which is full so you are unable to leave a message. They also don't respond to e-mail.

Anyone else have any dealings with them? I am at a bit of a loss what to do now.

I have also had problems with Christmas Trees2U, I have had a long conversation with Darren Billingham(the company manager) and threatned to expose his company to every national newspaper and also involving the police, I was that angry. They assured me they were delivering right up to and including Christmas Eve so I waited and waited and spent Christmas with no tree. I have lost out on my tree and stand totalling over £65.00. I have two mobile numbers for him 07707 257517 / 07969 808039. During our conversation he blamed everything from his courier to the weather, and having to sack a member of staff for not handling emails and responses ! He has assured me that Paypal will refund my money and I have lodged a dispute case with them. He refused to refund me directly as he said it was up to Paypal to carry out the refund. Is there anybody else out there who have had the same problem, lets all get together and make them pay. Hope this might be of some comfort. Elaine
  • One believes that flowers and plants are excepted from DSRs, but none delivery, eh. Good luck

With regards to NoChex, they have been totally helpful.

Your comments at post #2 about scammers using them, I can not comment on other than to say that we had many hoops to jump through with NoChex before they would consider us as a business.

All compliance checks etc they have performed we have passed and any queries which they have raised and are raising from customers who dont bother to ask us for a refund but instead go direct to NoChex we are responding to.
Like I said MOST scammers use NOCHEX allowing them to jump through even BIGGER hoops to avoid giving out refunds.

Can I ask a pertinant question and I am not being sarcastic or a troll.

But How on Earth can you choose a christmas tree online and be happy with it.

All trees are unique, I have a hard enough time, trying to choose one in the garden centre- ''That ones nice but that twig sticks out more than on that side'' etc How could you leave it to anyone else to choose for you and be happy with it? It's the same with internet flowers, I want to see what I am giving someone for a gift, I wouldnt trust it to anyone else.

I do hope you all get your money back, and people learn from this experience, but with the great british public it will be forgotten about in a few weeks and happen again next year

Some things are designed to be bought in shops !
