Can't see why anybody would get upset with an online company opening up for business on Boxing Day lol

    Some strange folk around.
  • Got mine today but very disappointed with bracelet, very light and flimsey.
A small Thank You can make a BIG difference ;)
  • Wasn't upset at the online side of the business its all the shop staff, in the 16 shops, who will be working throughout Christmas and New Year. Just seems a shame that a so called family business doesn't extend the right to bank holidays to their staff. I just hope that they are as keen to take returns on those days.

I would hate to break it to you but other than X-Mas Day & New Years Day retail works.

Also a lot of leases for retail property stipulate opening days especially those in shopping centres.

Love this company normally and like a lot of people thought it was a small family business. Having only ever shopped in store I thought I would sign up for this deal as well, thinking I would get a nice little item as a pressie. (I normally spend way too much in the shops.) So was disappointed when the offer emailed to me wasn't honoured on the website.
But then found out their shops are going to be open to 5pm Christmas eve, Boxing day and New Years day. This sounds much more corporate, I thought small family businesses had a soul :(.
So whilst the family are enjoying christmas, their staff are out making them money. I know times are hard but this is just scrooge like, where's the Christmas spirit? In our town the true small companies are closed on Boxing day and none of them would dream of opening on New Years day.

Had you thought that its BECAUSE its a small family business that they can do this? I was talking to my feed merchant yesterday and she was saying that she is "hoping" (note that word) that if she opens late the Weds and Thurs before Christmas she can close at 2pm on Christmas Eve and then take a few days off until the next Weds, and that people will have enough forethought to stock up on extra feed. Like many retailers her worry is that people will go elsewhere if she is closed.

Dont know about anyone else, but personally in the run up to and just after Christmas I always rely on small local businesses becaue going into town is hideous, lots of last minute shoppers (and with deliveries being delayed due to the snow there will be LOTS of those this year) and panic buying.

Many larger retailers open the same hours, so in order to compete these guys need to stay open - harsh but true.

My bangle arrived today. Beautifully packaged, wrapped in purple tissue in a little satin lined gift bag (so no need to pay extra for the gift wrapping imo). However the bangle itself looks cheap & flimsy, and is so big it just falls off (quite a bit bigger diameter than in the description). Doesn't even look worth the discounted price. Really disappointed, as now I'll have to pay to post it back, and find an alternative present.

I hope they do sort it all out. I did have my eye on the help for heroes items as with OH being a serving soldier I have to support our lads but can't often afford it what with mess bills, housing, bills etc and dress uniforms / mess dress they have to buy etc plus everything else on top i.e ball gowns for recent mandatory xmas ball

I'm keeping an eye on when they get them in stock and will defo buy if they honour the original £10 off £15 offer

they ask that the vouchers are not used for the charity items:T
