I have just come across this thread and may be able to assist some of the people trying to contact there co-ordinators and not getting contact details from crapita, basically the co-ordinator email system works as follows -
Take this as an example
When you applied for the job you will have recieved automated emails throughout the process. Within the subject text you will find the area code something like this (doctor to your own areas)
i.e - A12345CC / Census Collector - Classroom Training Confirmation
Now lets translate this into an email address the A12345 represents the co-ordinators area code, the CC bit stands for Census Collector i.e the job title
take the area code and add @census.gov.uk
i.e - A12345@census.gov.uk
hey presto you have the co-ordinators direct email address, use this method to contact them yourself, good luck everybody hope this helps
The co-ordinators can't do anything without capitas or their managers say so, what's the point in people emailing them?0 -
I am a bit shocked that we have a new collector starting this week there isn't enough work to go round how it is!! a couple of people have already finished their workload this week (e.g: 3 times to each house) I on the other hand have learnt to walk at a much slower pace to stretch my hours!0

a couple of people have already finished their workload this week (e.g: 3 times to each house)
surprised people have done 3 visits already before the weekend. (assuming you mean new workloads on weds) i would've thought keeping the last one to try at the weekend would've been a good idea.0 -
This week, my "15 hour" workload consists of one ED with 55 properties in. Last week I had two EDs, one with 60 properties in and the other with 120. I don't know why there's such a difference!0

Some of mine are getting 4 visits just so I can get my hours done and that's with slow walking! One day I will be debt free and fat free!:grinheart0

I thought we aren't supposed to do a 3rd visit until phase 2?
Seems to be open to interpretation by the individual co-ordinators, all my training pointed to 3 visits right from the start but then we were told only to do 1 visit at the moment.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
I'm on a 37 hour week and have 150 houses that i'm persuading to send their paperwork in. I spoke to half of them last week and one of them is a really good friend who posted it in last Monday so potentially most of them could be off my list by the end of the 3rd week. Apparently theres now 13 of us around here and there should have been 15. I don't know what would have happened if there had have been 15 as there isn't that many houses to do now really. I just wonder actually what will happen in weeks 4 and 5 as I know that most of mine will be done by the end of week 3, which if they are does that mean we won't get paid any more? (which is what I think will happen) As if so it will be really rubbish as 2 weeks money is quite a lot really:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I thought we only work for 4 weeks? the 5th week is holiday pay. As far as I know we still get paid for the hours we have been contracted.0 -
we've had 3 extra collectors join in the past few days, even though we don't need them now we're all very familiar with our patches and have sorted out most of the bad addresses, which was the most time consuming thing earlier. my coord hasn't a clue what to do with them all. and the biggest problem is updating the QT. she's struggling with a big backlog, and none of us can do it to help out!0
