Have emailed a couple of times and had replies.

Ah, thanks! I'll give that a go, see I can get any joy. Suppose at least it'll be logged that I at least tried to get in touch more than once.
Let us know if you get in touch with your coordinator0 -
My coordinator has just rang me, he's coming tonight to drop off the stuff etc. Feeling relieved that he's been in touch!
Hope everyone else gets sorted soon too!0 -
I got my final offer. This is after emailing them several times to say I don't want the job (after I'd tried to contact them regarding hours and they'd not responded)! Couldn't get through on the phones. I just reached a point where this job didn't matter to me one jot! I don't need the hassle. Now, with a couple of weeks to go, I have received a contract. I am going to decline.0

Early collectors, as far as I can gather, just help the coordinator, and go to help people fill in their questionnaires who have called the Census helpline for whatever reason. I think they also investigate properties where the Royal Mail couldn't deliver a census to. And if the building is actually there, give them a replacement, and if it's been demolished or changed to a shop or something then write it off.
Then from 6th April we join the main collectors and start knocking on doors.
yes that completely right... that's what the early collectors are supposed to do.. some coordinators have even 2 assigned to them.A friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)

I wish I was waiting to hear from a coordinator, but I am still waiting on the outcome of my application
I sent an email this morning, and had no reply. Normally they do reply within 24 hours though.0 -
Just received an email offering me a job after all - subject doing e-learning, references, training etc.
I'm not sure that I'm going to bother to accept it.
The question is, do I risk spending 3 hours on e-learning and the expense of going on a 1/2 day training course. If they decide not to take me on, then it will have all been at my own cost.
Will wait for information they have promised by post. Might depend where the course is - if it's too far, I might decline just on sheer cost of petrol, never mind my time.
Just read email more carefully and it says that it might take 2 - 3 weeks for the email giving instructions for accessing the e-learning to come through. They want me to start in 16 days time.:doh:7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -
I am a Coordinator, and on Thursday took over the role of another Coordinator. We are waiting for a replacement...
In the two areas I am covering (Circa 15000 households plus a University and Prison), I should have a total of 3 Early Collectors. One of which I am meeting tonight. One recently dropped out, and am waiting a replacement, and one is missing!
I have the ID card of the member of staff but cannot see the details on the payroll system to contact them. We have just had an email to say this is a far reaching problem and is Capita's fault, and all we can do is wait.
As frustrating for us as it is for you.

I have classroom training this week, but the emails say its on 1.5 days, but only gives one date, and the time it ENDS on the second day!!! So I have no idea of the dates or time it starts and ends on both days lol.
It also says smart casual - what would that mean for a guy, shirt and trousers? suit? or polo shirt and jeans??
What a cuffufle!!0 -

Is the classroom training for Census Collector? It's only half a day, I'd definitely ring Recruitment up and sort it that way. You don't want to be there on the wrong day lol.
Smart casual - Most men at my training session wore shirt & trousers with smartish shoes. Some wore ties, but not all. Some had jeans on. But the majority just went for a shirt and trousers jobby. I'd defo go for that0
