Hazards of living with dh's schedule. He's just been told he can come home on thursday night. Great, apart from that's when my ticket event is. HAving made the commitment to myself to go I still want to go. He could get a taxi home but he didn';t take door keys because I'm always here. So I'd have to leave keys somewhere for him.

Usually I'd rush to cancel my thing because ...because I love him and want to spend time with him and that's always been a hallowed priority, but I really don't want to now. More than the event (which I booked months ago) I feel I've made a commitment to myself to go or face another step down the path of crazy reclusive woman. Grump.

I filled up the hire car yesterday. A hundred bucks! F*$%!!!!!!

Sixty five quid to fill a Ford bloody Focus. When's the riot? I'm up for it.

I guess nobody can afford to fill up the petrol bombs.

Tell me about it....a full tank is £80 for me.
I tend to adapt the money saving, sedate, grandpa driving style lately, trying to squeeze 500 miles out of a tank.
If I was driving behind myself 20 years ago, I would be quite annoyed.

A general question - is it right or wrong to keep up with your internet chums whilst on holiday?

I've done it. It depends on whether it detracts from your holiday or the enjoyment of your holiday by the others you are sharing it with. When I go to the States I go somewhere I've visited lots of times before as I have a timeshare there and use the free wifi so I might log in every couple of days to kill 10 mins or so, I need to check e-mail for my business then anyway. I wouldn't go out of my way to go to a net cafe to stay in touch though and I certainly wouldn't spend all my time updating my status. I am revelling in the fact that I don't have a facebook status to worry about. My next vacation is a bit different to the ones to America and so no disrespect, I won't be seeking y'all out.

Is it a right or worng answer? Depends, doesn't it?

e.g. I don't feel ''wrong'' checking in when DH is working at home. When he stops, I stop :)

oh, and, yes he probably would come but he'd be home after I've left. And he hasn't got a ticket.
