Are you marking Tau Day? Or are you a pi fan?

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-13906169

    The funniest bit:
What's amazing is the 'conversion experience': people find themselves almost violently angry at pi. They feel like they've been lied to their whole lives, so it's amazing how many people express their displeasure with pi in the strongest possible terms - often involving profanity.

The most annoying bit is the picture. Can't think of a picture, greek letters look boring so the opt out, pi sounds like pie, so in goes a picture of a fruit pie!

    Pi fan here. :p

Diameter x Pi = circumference of a circle, that will do just fine.

Your post made me google and I found the 'criticism of Pi' on wiki, read it 3 times and I still can't make sense of it :o

Poor dog dog had a dressing change to day....

Good to hear dog-dog is doing well and behaving so bravely.

If it was our dog-dog, he would probably be heard 2 miles away. He already gets distressed when his nails are being clipped :rotfl:

This is exactly what I was saying about BBC News website dumbing down - right down to silly tabloid style 'headlines' for stories and 'in depth' pieces aimed at 11 year olds.

Nice to have you back, Jelly.

    lir, how is dog-dog today?

I am making a little progress with the mammoth decluttering. I have taken a load of stuff from the shed/garden to the tip (dead trampoline - not my big one but the small one they used to have a late-nearly-ex's house), three bags of old clothes not fit for charity shops but OK for textiles recycling, broken plastic garden chair, broken supersoaker water gun, broken fish tank.

One of the men at the tip saw me about to chuck the supersoaker in the "landfill" crate and tried to stop me because he wanted to know if it worked - said he wanted to shoot his colleague with it, and looked quite sad when I showed him that the water reservoir was smashed.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

lol to the water gun. I hate tip runs, good for you for getting on with it.

Dog dog is a bit blue today. My guess is its a bit tender for having been disturbed, but it has to be done. She's still being very good though. Bit worried that she hasn't eaten more than half a meal since the accident though. :( I weighed her yesterday and she's lost 4 kilos. She doesn't have it to lose. Meanwhile the other one is piling it on because of not having walks (she's not big on walks so she doesn't mind that but she needs the exercise), yet can;t have much less food than I'm giving her. I'll have tpo get her a vit/min supplement before cutting her food more.
