If possible, my mates always used to go for a trial by jury because they figured they stood a better chance of getting away with things.

It was openly discussed, anybody going to court for anything would always say they hope to be able to get a trial by jury.

Are your mates triads or something?;)

OK... I've got one burping, moaning in pain and pooing. And another deep burping and constantly rustling a colostomy bag (they're like noisy crisp packets hidden under your jumper).

    Deep joy.

    I'm keeping hidden away ...

If he's moaning in pain, for goodness sake call an ambulance!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Good wishes to IM and family.

For those not on FB, here are some recent posts from "Daisy Palmer Trust"

Silvercar, big thanks for posting this. I don't do facef00k, so I am not as up to date with Daisy's shennanigans except through the nice people posts.

If you read Inspector, all the best to you & family!

I don't know about an ambulance, but of course you're right that pain should be managed with the right drugs. They shouldn't have to be in constant pain. :(

PN, I know you feel it's not right as a child; this is the natural sequence of events. Would you be able to speak to the GP/Specialist yourself to know what to expect (indeed whether pain is to be expected and accepted) and where you might need to intervene?

I'd (1) tell ex-mother-in-law to get lost, and (2) not tell new GF to get lost - it'll sort itself out.

    <hugs>

"get lost" is a VERY restrained version of the jelly response...

Really? But he always does that. You can't be calling out ambulances because somebody's making a bit of noise.

I don't know. Pain is expected, he has some stomach thing, or other. And his GP phones him every fortnight or so. So the pain's known about. And as my mum would say "he's big enough and ugly enough to tell us if he needs help".

I do keep asking if he needs stuff.... and he always says no.

They're both asleep on the sofa now.... I usually check I can see their chest moving when I find them like that :)

PN, I assume you've a decent idea of my (alleged) area of expertise.

Phone 0800 882200 & order an AA claim pack for your dad. He qualifies. making sure he has eaten is caring. Making sure he is taking medication is caring. Making sure he is able to dress/undress, get in/out of bed is caring. Making sure he attends doctor/hospital appointments and transporting him there & being of moral support is caring. Collecting precription medication is caring. Given the illness I suspect he has, he is nailed on to get it. All the above are care needs!

You may then be able to claim carers allowance.

All this is without knowing the intimate details. If you wish, PM me. Regardless of that, I'd stake a huge wedge of your str funds on him getting AA...

No idea whatsoever. I can't even remember half the time if you're M/F :(

I'm not a very good stalker really.

People say it's about personal care needs, which to me means "do you wipe his 4rse?"... and the answer to that'd be "NO!"

    :)

    I wouldn't want/don't need the CA - and I wouldn't qualify (isn't it income-based?)

Forms are allegedly on their way, for whatever the nurse ordered forms for. She said she'd get forms sent just 3 days ago.

Illness is advanced incurable renal "C"
