PS Talking of libraries, "vivatifosi" have you spotted the Sunday Times news story that the BBC is proposing to pack up filming the Grand Prix racing?!?
This will have to do. I'm not paying to get through the Murdoch money wall.

Thanks for the link John, I was looking for one earlier but wasn't successful. It will be a shame if the beeb drops F1, their coverage is the best I've ever seen. They could undoubtedly do it for less though, for example by having part of the team reporting from the studio rather than shipping everyone out and you don't need two pitlane reporters. I like the set up and it will be a shame if it changes, but it would be crazy for them to give up completely. Also, you don't know what the cost will be going forward, they may get the licence for less now there's a recession. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? In fact, I nearly went to NDGs school we discovered (would have been a year apart!). My mum got very ill though and everything went wrong. School didn't know how to handle me, I dropped out, missed an entire year and joined the local comprehensive for the 5th year. Did absolutely fine in my exams (thank heavens for the previous school in some respects) but there was no 6th form (would have loved to have stayed there) and I drifted to work. It didn't do me any harm, I was earning well and progressing until we moved away and started out alone.
Yesterday I went to an Open Day at university, had a nice chat with the tutors and today I've started cobbling together a personal statement for my UCAS application.
I'm absolutely bricking it. I'd qualify when I'm 40 but I think I need to set me and the kids something to aim for.
Wow! That's awesome Doozer. I'm so excited for you. What subject are you thinking of doing?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I fell like getting myself through this application process will be as much an achievement as finishing the course right now. I am seriously petrified.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

What would you study Doozer? Best thing I ever did (other than get married) was to study as a mature student. I hope you really enjoy it.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Sorry Doozer, you managed to post an answer in the time that I was typing my question... except for MsKool
strangely today I was saying to my DW that I should have studied architecture (as my vision for the extension starts to take shape it looks like it will work well and the work we did to our previous place also seemed to maximise the sit in sympathy with the character of the building) which is odd really as I am not a great observer but I do seem to visualize spaces well.Doozergirl wrote: »I can see you all puzzling if I said something like Biomedical Science!I think....0 -
