I'm cold. I think I am going to have to put the heating on because I won't move if I'm cold. Hence I've barely moved today. I washed my hair and am really wondering why I bothered because it looked okay for a Sunday and the weather will destroy it later. So I'm sat with it in a towel still where it will have already dried into a mop and I will be unable to get my fringe to sit flat without washing it again.
It's so disgusting outside, the rain is constant and has been all day. It might help plants grow but it makes me miserableNeed to go foraging to the supermarket and also get presents for a child's party later (running out of time!) when I'd rather have a fridge full of food with a fire going, simply stuffing my face.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Phew, just taking another break. Reached another major milestone and realised why I'd turned that off in 2008 ... it didn't do what I want. But I discovered that the site I set up in 2010 was using the same plugin, but working... it seems I'd learnt a new buzzword to search for in the 2010 installation, so had found the extra piece of the jigsaw. So extra piece of jigsaw in place and configured and the 2008 site is now working ... now to fiddle with the filters to really narrow things down.
Also doing a lot of documenting of what goes where, settings, why, as the empire's full of jigsaw pieces

It's not good... but the cost of the heating can just be too much, and you don't really notice your life consists of doing nothing, or what limited things you can do from under a duvet. e.g. surfing the net with the mouse under the duvet too, or watching TV.
It's the same with leaving the house when it's cold. As you've no heating on at home, it seems pointless to go out and get wet/cold, as you know when you return to a cold/empty house you'll just be cold/wet and feel cold for days... so it's easier to not go out ... and surf the net and watch TV.
On the other hand, surfing the net 24/7 can bring you in a great income if you keep tweaking at it and picking at it from under the duvet.

I spend much of winter under a duvet too, but not making an income..
I'd like to be under the duvet today. we went out for about an hour and a half, and despite closing all the vents the woodburner is on its last cinders.I can't get to grips with it.
DH has begged for ''British roast dinner'' tonight, and I can't think of anything better in this weather.
While we were out we looked for puddles, and plenty in the curbs/pavements but the soil and grass is drinking it all up thirstily.0 -

It's actually quite pleasant outside here at the moment, the wind is a little blustery at times and it is cooler than what we have been used to but def sit outsideable (ok wearing a fleece over my t shirt), the rain has been very little although the sky at times has looked very eek.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
It's been piddling down here today.0

Are you joking? I've just seen Noah walking past, on his way back from B&Q. It hasn't stopped since last
Night here and it's been heavy all day. Got soaked just getting into the car!
Didn't feel guilty putting the heating on either. The thermostat said 15 degrees!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Weird phone call from friends asking what we are doing in XX town. But we are at home, turns out there were driving behind a car that looked like OHs with the same number plate!
Phoned the police who have noted it and said to carry round ID in case OH gets stopped rather than the cloned car. Now we wait to find if its a stolen car that has been sold on, used as a getaway car in a robbery or what.
OH wonders if he can now go speeding and claim it was the clone?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. horrid, horrid, horrid.
How do they get away with this. Presumably cloned also means not correctly taxed and insured and motd? wouldn't it get picked up on dvla checks otherwise that things were being done twice? yet innocent people buy these clones I understand.0 -
