    too right, that article.

Freeing up from legislation...sort of. I have no problem whatsoever making appropriate accommodation for them, and we need too as a country. new houses don't have penetrable lofts and these creatures need to live somewhere. If we don't have them we'd have lots more clothes moths and nasty insects.

there needs to be a balance: some projects shouldn't have to wait for bats: if the project is urgent for the preservation of the building, others should be asked to wait, provide the alternative, then seal gaps at the right time (this is our plan and I think the right move for here and then majority of projects). we've also adapted out plans to allow place for them in the finished building, if they want to come back then.

Expecting people to put the bats heating requirements before their own, not as an equal consideration but a greater one, is IMO batty.

Its freezing. dodgy woodburner on again. The wind/an object brought by the wind has broken a pane of glass here this morning too. we tried taking the dogs for a walk but my TGN couldn't bear it. I had to walk back to the car with my coat wrapped around my head and shivering.

Today I am building and renovating a wing within my empire/estate. Slowly ploughing through the mountains of work to do - and 'discovered' a sub-directory I'd stuck a blog into, that hasn't been used/updated since I obviously turned it off in 2008.... but now I have just the software/tools I need to turn it on again and automate it. Except I need to manually rebuild it because it's using a very old copy of Wordpress which can't be automatically upgraded (a feature they put into v2.7, current version is 3.13 and I think this old cr4p is v2.1).

Not looking forward to it, but once it's done it's done. So that'll be:
    - a manual install
    - new theme
    - configure the theme
    - the essential plugins
    - configure the plugins
    - run some queries to generate the correct rss feeds

    Then it's Bob's Your Uncle time I hope :)

It should be a traffic swarmer though .... so then I'll need some button/navigation to pull them back to the main site - and I think I'll trial more Chitika over there, which has inbuilt mobile advertising.

Still got 300 blog posts to create from scratch and 100 pages for the main site.

And that's only ONE domain :(

Certainly nippier than of late here, my bedroom temperature is 16 degrees c with the window open (pretty much around what it was in the winter with the window closed). Hard to believe that a few weeks ago, I couldn't get the temperature below 23, even with all the windows in the bedroom open.

Had fun yesterday, my brother and his wife were offered a cooker (they don't currently have one) and of course, as the only relative with an estate car, I had to transport it. But it was an adventure, something different to do on a Saturday afternoon and for once, I didn't have to do any of the work, just the driving of it to theirs...and the boys enjoyed it too, they got to ride in a newer car, a people carrier to boot with electric doors!

    They were most impressed.

Mind you, my car may not look much, it may be very old, it may have done many many miles but for £461 nearly 4 years ago and the ability to put pretty much any furniture or white good item in the back....it has done blooming good.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I took the Generalissimos up to the Blue Mountains today. We went in an open tram carriage.

It was 9C and raining. 20C is about the lower comfortable limit for me these days in the dry, 23C in the wet. I've been in for an hour and my ears still hurt!

Doesn't linen just crumple the minute you sit down? So wearing linen trousers under a duvet means the trousers are then ruined unless they're washed or ironed again.

Get yourself some £3 leggings :)

I wear £3 leggings and £2 T shirts round the house so anything half decent/wearable doesn't get worn out. I only wear "proper clothes" when leaving the house.

My legs don't look good in leggings Pastures. In a black pair they look like two char-grilled sausages that have been left on the barbie for too long. I'll stick with the linen.

Under a duvet is fine providing you a) position your trousers after sitting then b) position duvet equally carefully to avoid creasing and then c) don't move.

I can't remember where I got the idea but when using tester pots, paint a square (or several) of white card then position them around the room.

I tried the colour test and got 96 and I always thought I had a good eye for colour:o I blame new variofocals and old laptop.

The sight of me in leggings of any colour is not something to inflict on anyone - might deter cold callers though.

DH has just taken up the first potatoes from new garden so going to use them in a light and early lunch. After 21 years of no garden we get easily excited!

See you later and good luck to fc, doozergirl and Pastures.

Nobody's going to see you though - and you can get some loose leggings, bootcut and similar these days.

a-c sounds like a lot of effort, when you could just wear leggings.... Peacocks do a nice/cheap range of leggings type things. I'm sure there's another word for them... but just "trackie bottoms" type of thing. Thick T shirt material.

I'm temporarily back as the manual upgrade seemed to go a treat. Couple of "blips" along the way, but you expect that.

Now upgrading the plugins and seeing what I've got/what else I need, then I'll need to go write some rss filtered feeds, which is about 3-4 hours worth just for those.
