I do not dare write down the fit cost here as it could give PN a mini stroke.:D
    :)

    I'm such a bumpkin.

Good luck with that... er, whatever a pop up shop is. We had pop up loos here.... p155oirs. I doubt it's like that though.

    :)

I'm guessing it's a corner of the premises, where people occupy it for a short amount of time only, then it's somebody else's turn. And 36m is ... er ... converted into feet .... 387 square feet. So that's about 12'x32' or so. So about the size of a mobile home ... oh yes, I understand that, it's bumpkin time again!

    :)

I bet the rent on that's £200k for 4 weeks.

Pop up is just a nice catchy name for 'temporary'.:D

The spot is prime ground floor retail facing the doors to the young fashion section down the side strett of the main store. It's a long thin space 2.4 m wide X 14 .8m

We will install a black gloss catwalk to half the space + have a neon 'forest' inbetween the mannequin army.
We also have to plan and book in slebs for a launch party...tricky as we don't 'do' rent a celeb but my brother has come up with goods for us so it will have a music/clubby theme. Obviously I will be hiding behind a pillar for the duration.
I have had to liase with all the diff depts and the launch party is still not finalised and I am extremely stressed about it.
Financially, the gain to us in terms if ££££ in our pockets, after it's all over will be tiny...in fact could be a disaster if we don't sell well (which is very possible as a different customer demographic) and the target T/0 p wk is high @ 25k.
In fact I can't sleep as it's just sloshing around and around my head...that fear of bombing and it all falling flat.....but we had to try it.

Once we have confirmed the launch, I will pop a link on here so if anyone is in town that day come join in (as I said you will have to look behind the big pillar to find me). Provisionally it is 27 or 28 this month.

I have had to google YT of other peoples launches to see what to expect as we haven't had much info at all, just that they are dead keen on our proposal.

Accepting this and something else we did recently has caused a lot of friction in the The Battery Shed and I do feel all pecked out right now, ready to be retired to rescue centre so my feathers can grow back.

2 years of battery was a very good innings though and we survived it.

Here is a link to one of Gavs new tracks......it's the 1st thing of his I have liked for a while. Goes down massively in E Europe and Russia ~(he is over in Russia again this weekend) and it's how I feel now (except for the loaded bit of course :D)

I am liking talking to myself here :D

I don't take much notice of what my brother get's up to as we talk about kids and stuff when we catch up but I had to send over some links of his work.
Found this from a gig in Moscow earlier this year.......what a show.
Link here. (music is a bit hardcore for me on this though)

I'm around and about a bit.

Just trying to correct the phd's student report on top of everything else my boss feels I should be doing on his behalf.

Can i have an invite to a launch party purty please? :D It'd make me cool and everything.

(oh, I'm going shopping for "the project" and we're starting to stitch and have samples, i'm so excited!!!)

Absolutely...and no fretting about 'cool' cos I am the uncoolest one. All the cool stuff lives in my head clad in an uncool middle aged female human form.

I will PM and stuff too but don't be w worried if I don't get confirmation until late next week and you don't hear until the last minute.

I was thinking about your project recently as went to Imperial recently for a lecture our friend gave as he is retiring this summer and he spoke about the link between the arts and science (as he was science educated but went into arts and restoration).

Did you find someone to make for you? And the printing etc?

I'm here.... I was off doing a drag and drop colour thingy ... some quiz about women and men's abilities to tell colours apart - and you have to drag all these squares of colours along until they're in the right order to phase between the start colour and the end colour. I suspect every wrong one is 1 mark, with 0 being a perfect mark.

I don't need an invite to the launch party - because I'm way too cool for things like that, I'll be doing something far more fabulously exciting... let's see 27th/28th.... I'll be writing in this thread and updating some random articles online... and checking my stats randomly every hour.

As I said ... way too cool for launch parties and the West End. You should get out more :P

Here's the What's Your Colour Score Thread: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3288580

And it links to here if you want to go direct: http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77&Lang=en

I found it in my foray into "new posts", which always finds random threads to join.

I got 18, but I'm lying down, with a small/rubbish monitor and my mouse is using the back of a spiral bound pad, resting on my mattress... so not the easiest of things to do. And I have the light out.
