white and glassy on a refurbed art deco could be amazing. Would be fun choosing appropriate fixtures. so much art deco and modern is so ''background'' here. How I found 60s/70s to pervade a lot of subconscious design decisions in italian style.
which ever way it goes, hurrah!0 -
I am liking talking to myself here
I don't take much notice of what my brother get's up to as we talk about kids and stuff when we catch up but I had to send over some links of his work.
Found this from a gig in Moscow earlier this year.......what a show.
Link here. (music is a bit hardcore for me on this though)
"We wanna be free to ride our machines" "we wanna get loaded".
It's a nice video, but he seems to have overlooked the Don't Drink and Drive message! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I'm fuming.
Just got a solicitors letter addressed to the previous owners - who we bought off in 2006! Why are they using our address for a business they set up in 2009?
They sold to us in 2006 and then their business went bust and they personally went bankrupt. They moved to a lovely rental in the countryside a few miles from here.
Then they set up another business and that failed.
Then another one - the one that this letter refers to - owing money to a supplier!
So why the hell are we getting letters for them?
(I know it doesn't effect our credit rating, its just annoying.)
When we bought we got letters for them and bailiffs turning up at the doorbut I could understand that the address was legitimately this one; but now it means that they are still either using this address or hiding their address so well that all that can be found is this one.
To top it all, I saw her out driving this week in a Mercedes, don't know if its new but she'd transferred her numberplate across.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Same with my grandad, & (hopefully) me!:)vivatifosi wrote: »You are so lucky. I have very definite roots at the moment. I want to find some sort of crayon, make up or hair mascara that will colour them in so I don't have to look at them. Anyone know of a product?
I don't want to have my hair done because I have very expensive highlights put in and don't want a single colour put over the top.
See Wheezy and Gen, you don't have any of this trouble. And I have to carry a hairbrush everywhere!
Men don't do hairbrushes, they just stand in front of a mirror & press sticking up hair down with their hands. Takes 2 seconds. Then we go out & forget about it!:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

I love poached egg. I love egg in general.
Thing I find with cooking for one, is the motivation. I love cooking for more than 1, because a big part of the preparing/cooking process is the anticipation about how the other person/people will enjoy the meal. It makes me a little more adveturous, or extravagant. Cooking for one seems boring, & it is too tempting to do something very basic, simple, resulting in a boring and uninspiring meal. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
There is something which keeps being advertised on the telly that is like a felt tip and covers the roots....but can't for the life of me remembered what it is called.
I'm feeling quite proud of myself today, my indicator bulb went on my car and usually it was ex husband who replaced them. The last time it happened, I did my damsel in distress impression at the local garage who replaced the bulb for me for the price of a cup of tea but I was determined I could do it myself this time.
And I did! In fact, it was amazingly simple and was akin to the circuit boards we used to mess about on in Physics....
Yay! Well done Sue. It's a great feeling when you manage something that used to be done for you.lemonjelly wrote: »I love poached egg. I love egg in general.

Absolutely. I could have written that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Here is a link to one of Gavs new tracks......it's the 1st thing of his I have liked for a while. Goes down massively in E Europe and Russia ~(he is over in Russia again this weekend) and it's how I feel now (except for the loaded bit of course
)

That track booms like a big dirty booming thing.
Me likey a lot!:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
I'd be too far uncool to go to a launch party....unless it was for the sugar plum fairy with short legs line in dresses, or the out of date hair style gatherers convention.
I have been feeling some frustration over recent months with my brother, he went out on his own and despite all my advice on ways to get more business, he has ignored it all...unsurprisingly, he has not been getting the work and has had to go back to what he was doing before.
I've advised leafleting drops, getting proper cards made up, advertising in the free paper, putting notices up in the local supermarkets etc, all of which can be done for a very small amount of money (been there and done it with my website), ok, it means more effort and getting out there but the rewards would be worth it.
But no, it was too much hassle, too much extra work but all the time he was complaining about lack of work....arrgghhhhh!
I even offered to take over the marketing for him but that got a decline, he didn't think it needed it, people knew him and would go with him for their journeys.
Now eldest could see the same things as me (chip off the old block) and also offered to take over the marketing, saying that my brother would not have to do anything....he also got a big fat decline.
God knows why I am so different to my brother and sister (she turned down a promotion and the extra money as it was too much responsibility even though she was already doing the job unofficially!) but it really bugs me sometimes. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Or the crditor in question hasn't chased up the debt for a while.
With the 6 year time limit, there is often the case where creditors do v little until the time limit for legal action approaches. If the debt gets into a 5th year with no action, suddenly it starts again.
Or, the credit agency could have found out that the debtor got money from somewhere (eg by looking at tax returns or the like)
Lastly, debt collectors pass debts around. a new agency might have just got this one & you live at their last recorded or known address..It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Right, there is a good reason why my house is magnolia because ... I have no idea on colours unlike the rest of you lovely lot. lol
So a colour, looking great on a big wall opposite the window, might be way too dark in the bits up the side of the chimney.
So we went out to buy match pots.... and I ended up painting a stripe of each of about 15 colours on each wall/chimney recess/chimeny side/under the window piece just to see which colour looked [a] right right on all the walls/areas [c] best in that room.
Got it right though
Pig of a job to paint over those stripes though0
