I really miss mewbie. I'm sure he would have got that earlier. :D
He's a riot on hubs.... hilarious in their forums :)
Theirs don't flow like these do though - entirely different interface... but the genius just shines through... if you're British and "get it".

I can see that. I love going on trains, as I'm always the driver, & never get to look at the scenery. A month or 2 ago I had to get a train to/from manchester for a seminar, and I loved every minute of the journeys, being pressed up against the window looking at the views, countryside, towns, cities, livestock. Sincerely helped by the sounds from my mp3 player too. It is absolutely beautiful this country. Winds me up when people argue otherwise...:(

I do enjoy a good train journey as well, tend to go up the east coast mainline a few times a year, goes quite quickly just staring out the window! But in addition to that, I'm also a bit excited about the fact that it is the eurostar, don't really know why!

If you're going abroad remember to take an adaptor!

I've done that and I've told the library assistant that I will keep the books and let them become overdue. She has then suggested that if I have some proof of who I am, like a debit card, I can get them renewed at the enquiries desk without my card.

In Herts the libraries now have machines that can handle issues and renewals and fines etc. You can also renew over the phone when the "computer says no". (how much you paying me viva?)
You see - it's a secret world where they trick you and only give some people some clues if the day has a Z in it.

I didn't know phoning might have worked.

I nearly did say I'd keep them.... but she had them in her hands already and she looked a bit fierce (she'd have won, she had weight on her side).

It's a machine at our place. I had the books out and was struggling to find my card, going through my purse and rucksack for it :(

I've never used the machine though - been to it every time, but they always rescue me as it's most bizarre how it does it and I end up poking randomly at the screen in frustration.

    Which reminds me, where's wageslave?
Really? Or modest? Or good it be time to accept you might need new clothes? I'm sure you look perfectly adaquate. To be honest, you are so sweet you don't need to look too great....personality really does count.

What lir said. Oh, and you seem (as far as one can tell on a forum) to be a good listener. That counts for loads.

And where is wageslave? Anyone know?

He's posted 5 posts but 2 have already been deleted, and the other three (including this one) are identical. I've reported all 3 as spam.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

So that's where the word peenuts comes from!
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

OK so now I want to set up that experiment and try it on my kids (with watering can provided as for the humans in the experiment). Does that make me a bad mummy?
