Love the pun!:rotfl:
It would be even worse for us with our 'off the back of a lorry' food. We never know which brand we'll have, let alone whether it'll be organic. Sometimes, it's out of date too!
I saw a guy the other day selling ornamentals with a sign which read, "We are peat-free and organic." I wasn't in the mood for an argument then, or I'd have asked him if that was the reason why his stuff was so expensive.0 -
Only £450 - why that's chicken feed...I'll get me coat
Finally seem to have progress on the party wall act today so it looks like the digger can come on Friday. I have been taking some photos so may start posting a progress blog at the other place if I get round to it.I think....0 -
My thoughts are with Daisy and of course her mum and dad'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0

best wishes to IM & lil' un
Hugs to anyone who needs one.
I've been absolutely shattered lately. I normally garden after getting home from work but lately, I just sink into my sofa and feel like I haven't slept in days
I started a liftshare today and am quite excited at prospect of not having to drive for half the month. And found an old friend from uni working in the same place (well, I've found him online but not contacted him yet).0 -

Blog is a great idea.
I'm so bored of the planning stage now. I threatened them all (the professionals) with applying to Grand Designs. I don't think they'd be interested because its such a small stage of a project. which is a shame, as its how by far the majority of people have to do things.
Should I /shouldn't I??? Hmm.0 -
At 11 I was certainly more sensible than I am now. I really shouldn't be left alone.
At 11 the most my younger one would do in an evening home alone, would be stay up too late and eat too much chocolate.
At 17 he had "just a few friends around". The back garden was strewn with beer cans and cigarette butts a few drops of blood and some broken glass. Plus about 40 people

DW brightened my day by telling me about a death notice in the Times for a 100-year-old man who 'died unexpectedly'.
Leaving aside the irony, that's a good way to go.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Lots of my relatives make it into their 100s. One outlived 3 of his five children the two that were left cared for him after their own spouses had died. He taught me to waltz when I was about 9 and he was about 104 I think. It was admittedly the slowest of a very slow dance! Another old one stopped riding when she hit her 90s. It hadn't been so fun for a decade or so when her children stopped letting her exercise the race horses.0 -
A friend of ours here was most upset last weekend, because her Mum & Dad had gone out and bought themselves a new car. She wasn't so much annoyed at the obvious waste of money, but at them daring to do such a thing at the age of 92. :rotfl:0
