How many tomato plants have you people planted? We did 15 this year.

My parents have about 20 plants outside, and another 15 in a greenhouse. Plus 5 cherry tomato plants.

Wet suits definitely have their plan if it's very cold, though!

I've broken ice more than once to skinny dip. :) Glorious feeling. Probably not the safest endeavour in the world.

That baby exhausted me. He's toddling and by heck he's quick. He also liked the garden a lot, and the cats and he rolled on the grass, toddled back and forward and had a good time. I now feel shattered! and my head is splitting from the 33rd rendition of Old MacDonald. Nothing else would do today.

I'm thinking of going to see dh next week. Any one able to recommend somewhere in the City to eat on a mid week evening? (NOT brick lane)...not a great wine list...I'll be driving home...

If you like good Italian, try Isolabella on Red Lion Street, WC1.

Anyone got recommendations for this set of requirements?

Food: Anything really. price: Cheaper then Rules. The outdoor seating is the main thing. I'm allergic to Covent Garden btw. Get panicky in crowds."

If you want to stay in cold water for a while, say surfing, or sailing, a wetsuit's essential, really.

Babies are exhausting. I remember my sister chasing after Isaac for a couple of hours when he was a toddler, and coming into the kitchen and slumping, saying that our mother must have been mad to have four of us!

Has anyone mentioned Ottolenghi? Very good food, very interesting, some misses but mostly hits.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Nope, swimming's enough for me, in the winter 20-30 mins more than enough. 10 even does...but a good cold dip is nice. I'm hoping when our pond is a bit cleaner to get in the habit of a dip every morning again. get the old heart pumping. Still, even for a dip in winter the wet suit might be an idea. Or does it defeat the purpose? :)

I can't think of anywhere nice for lunch. we're never been ''lunching'' sort of people though. :( Apart from dim sum. :)

supermaket had dirt cheap honeysuckle today. I shall be planting two later. Just as well, I lost my list and forgot what I went in there for, so bought honey suckle, loo paper and tea and coffee. All things you can never have t much of in the house.

i usually have sunday lunch on my balcony: three massive corned beef sandwiches and a bag of crisps. is this any help?

al fresco is a bit rare in central london, much easier to find in the suburbs. erm.. can't think of anywhere. bentley's has an outside bit i think, but i've never been. failing that...gaucho richmond!

13th desk bound dinner in a row. Food of choice: chicken yakisoba from wasabi. Mmmm. I feel quite sleepy now though.
