You obviously told me this because I am expected to do something about it, put it right somehow. But I can't! Now, if I were a woman, I'd be happy just to sympathise. As a man, I just feel powerless.
Just listen.... then tell us something annoying about your life - and we listen.0 -

Still with your cinnamon problem. I've just thought the clever thing to do would have been to sneak out and buy some ground cinnamon. Then present it in the bowl along with a few shards of the cinnamon stick for effect.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm ridiculously excited. I just checked radio times on line and there is just starting a show about wild swimming. I take slight issue with them saying its a new craze...I've been wild swimming my entire life!!!0

there were two shows on the subject last year. one with dr alice roberts up the duff and therefore limited in where the risk assessment would allow her to bathe which was frustrating. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -

Thanks,(and welcome to the NP thread.:))I've not seen them or heard of them.:) I've never understood why Brits are so squeamish about wild swimming other than the sea (and mainly brave Londoners in the ponds and serpentine).
I'm aware water hasn't always been so clean, and there are risks, but still...swimming pools cannot compare. River swimming is THE best.0 -

Me too. As a kid in Australia we used to swim in the local creeks a lot. Don't know if Gen could give us an update, but as a kid pretty much everyone went wild swimming over there. ETA, for that matter, we used to do it when we moved back to the UK. Tie a rope over a tree and swing into the water and jump, yummy....Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yep, in NZ too. I even swam in the Whanganui where its hardly ''idyllic clear'' in fact, you couldn't see your own hands, but a river is a river, and there were lots of ...pontoons, is that the word? where people obviously left towels....0 -

I got a real shock when I went to my first ever public swimming pool. They had these things called changing rooms. If someone hadn't told me I'd probably have been standing on the side somewhere wrapping a towel around myself while changing. I'm not really an exhibitionist.
