At least the man with the hoss was guaranteed a seat. You don't get seats guaranteed normally.0

saves buying a trailer I suppose. what would chewylegoff do though choosing a seat between a dog, a loo, a burger and a hoss?
ha ha ha!
i suspect the horse would be better behaved than most of the commuters, although if it started eating the burger i would really lose it.0 -

I had a pony that used to go crazy for ham sandwiches and bacon sandwiches. If te show ring we were in was near a food vendor I'd worry. My guess was a previous owner had rewarded him with such things.
The pony would probably poo and wee, without abashment, in the carriage. They aren't known for their cleanliness.I have thought sometimes about trick training them to wee/poo on command in a certain place (stallions have a tendency to poo in a certain place) as a testament to trainability. I don't think it would be hard to do but it would be intensive for a while, nothing else would get done...which always rules it out for me.

Glad I've stuff on this week, as the build up to this weekends football would be killing me if I didn't have the distractions.
Will be thinking of you & Wolves on Sunday.

Wishing I could give a post more than 1 thanks.:)
I sincerely hope (& believe) that we can do it. No counting chickens and so on. Blues look like they're really struggling. Wigan could well win at Stoke. Blackpool, who knows?
I'll be there, cheering us on, and probably praying. I am assuming it is ok for agnostics to pray?;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

All praying, to all gods, plus all superstitions acceptable when it comes to the last game of the season in these circumstances.US housing: it's not a bubble - Moneyweek Dec 12, 20050 -
So, I booked onto a course, 6 sessions. Booked the day before it was due to start, but the first one was delayed by a week as it was the Royal Wedding... it was a Friday class.
Turned up for the 2nd week (session 1), to discover the course had been moved to Thursdays, so I'd missed the first one ... I hadn't been told it had been moved.
Turned up for the 3rd week (session 2), to discover they won't be running a class in half term week (even though this is a business running it at their premises, bookable by the College).... making the date of the last session a week later than I thought.
Fourth week (session 3), just had a phone call that she's not well, it's been cancelled, they'll add another session onto the end.
All bl00dy annoying stuff. Started off pencilling in a 6 week course from 29/04 to 03/06, which is now running through until 24/06. In fact I can't even remember/not sure if next week's this odd "half term" or not.
I hate the way you can't diary things in properly.0 -
Although half terms vary in the autumn and spring, the summer one is ALWAYS the week with the bank holiday at the beginning of it (that's the bank holiday at the end of May).Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Ta.
They're a damned nuisance - courses don't seem to tell you that they won't run those weeks - then they expect people to know when those weeks are.
Annoying it is. Surely it can't be too difficult to either [a] communicate, or organise courses that don't straddle a half term.0 -

You obviously told me this because I am expected to do something about it, put it right somehow. But I can't! Now, if I were a woman, I'd be happy just to sympathise. As a man, I just feel powerless. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
