Three men had a very late night out drinking. They left in the early morning hours and went home separately. They met the next day for an early pint, and compared notes about who was drunker.

The first guy claims that he was the drunkest, saying, "I drove straight home, walked into the house, and as soon as I got through the door, I blew chunks."

"You think that was drunk?" said the second guy. "I got in my car, drove out of the parking lot, and wrapped my car around the first tree I saw. I don't even have insurance!"

And the third proclaimed, "I was by far the most drunk. I got home, got in a big fight with my wife, knocked a candle over and burned the whole house down!"

There was silence for a moment and then the first guy exclaimed, "Listen, guys, I don't think you understand... Chunks is my dog."
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

I have googled the cinnamon sticks, and apparently it's much easier to grind them up if you dry them out in a frying pan for 30 seconds beforehand. These ones were distinctly tough as they were.

If you want ground cinnamon, much easier to pop to the local store and buy some.

DH had a pretty good offer from another firm (someone he used to work with went there and put his name forward, he discounts all the ''head hunting calls'' usually). Torn....bigger salary, knows some of the people there and likes the ''culture''....but not as much as his firm. He's wondering whether he's erring on the side of dismissing it too easily because he ''knows'' his firm...comfy old shoes syndrome and whether he's giving it any head space time because its a new challenge, shiny new shoes syndrome!

I'm still bearish :) About the economy. His firm have been good to him, and in further ''hard times'' I think its better to be somewhere they've already invested in you/stood by you. But I don't have to go to either place ever, its not my call. I suggested he goes to interview there and sees how it feels..then makes a decision. I don't know how reasonable that is. He's also wanting to do something else...anther legal course while working....I suggested now is the time to find out ow his firm feel about that. If not maybe its a bargaining point somewhere else?

I always put life style and happiness above money but each to their own in this. I'd work for the minimum we could live on if I enjoyed it and thought it was worthwhile - DW wouldn't let me get away with that however...
