It was an interesting programme. Talked about how the MRIs of Apple "fans" showed the emotional responses triggered by the brand was similar in pattern to followers of religious organisations. Also talked about how Sony missed out through their Betamax format but didn't make the same mistake twice because of two moves: 1) first time round they had refused to allow the new growth industry of ****ography onto their videos, they eventually relented for BlueRay, 2) they had a trojan horse in the shape of their games consoles which brought BlueRay into many homes under the radar. Other stuff in programme also interesting, but those were the stand out bits (no pun intended) for me.

Tell her she can't love you if she doesn't want to see you happy :)

If I had another half I'd fully support (and help find) a way for them to work as little as possible.... once you've got enough you realise how it's all a scam. All those hours wasted, trapped in cars/buildings, making "the man" rich.

I tried that with mine, but apparently "happy doesn't pay the bills"... B*gger!

For someone who tells us they don't do emotions well, that's a bl**dy good line in emotional blackmail Pastures. Seriously, you could be getting good at this.

even if it meant not having the extension ? ;)

I think working hours will be pretty much similar...not sure it would be as flexible at other place.

Fwiw, I want to support dh's decision, not to make it or pressure him one way or the other.

Happy doesn't pay the bills .... but the dole covers the bills, so if you're earning more than the dole + commuting, then you're in a position to think about chilling out :)

For some here, earning say £50k, they could still earn a healthy £20-30k in 2-3 days/week. For those earning £11k for a full-time job then their chance might be 20-30 years in the coming before something happens to enable a bit of a relax.

Did you buy cinnamon sticks or cassia bark? Cassia is the tough outer layer and cheaper.

I know nothing about cooking. I just get called in to help when the cinnamon won't grind up nicely.
