The eurpoe question is interesting. we are a pretty diverse region.....even ignoring the bits where European muffin top spills over into other regions. By genetics my ''european'' bits are pretty heftily N. European. I feel the influence of long winters, heavy drinking, and the tomte on from my European roots. (its the other mongrel influences on me...and there are many that makes me histrionic, not tall and in need of highlights
). DH's Europe is mainly hotter*...less extreme in habit, but more excitable in temperament, no tompte for him, more gilted spirituality, and only one layer at a time And with a healthy side portion of tomato. I like that both coexist quite well in the UK....you get layers of folklore and religion, tomato next to your slab of meat, with which you can drink wine, beer or spirits and people can screech or not as they choose.
*but not entirely, there was a German and a Polish influence too...they just don't seem to have shown much in him.0 -

Men, so smutty. You can't even rub your hand down your best friend's leg anymore. Hrmph!
fnarr fnarr!:D
Realistically, he did not waste any time at all, did he?neverdespairgirl wrote: »I doubt I ever shall go grey, really. My Granny faded slowly from blonde to silver, and my mother's half-way there, at the moment, she just looks a lighter, more shiny blonde than she used to.
I think I'm in the same boat. My grandad was fair (I take after him) & just went lighter & lighter.
Wierdly, my dad had black hair...
LIR are you aware there is a smurfs movie coming out this year?

I've wanted to stay at Boscolo for the last few trips we've had. It was on a really good deal this time but I didn't do it because found something significantly cheaper that made a big difference (but regret not going for Boscolo). Next time we're there will be peak season, so it won't be a goer then
That swiss pool looks sublime. I love the alps.0 -

Wistful sigh. All of the above.
I've given up and decided to have a hangover on Sunday instead. We're out tonight and all day tomorrow. That's probably enough for my constitution.lemonjelly wrote: »Are you phillip schofield?
I definitely would
Just been through a three hour full survey on our place. I feel like I've been dragged through a hedge. The "dampometer" came out. I hate those things.
Going to look at a house ourselves later. The outside is very pretty and like a London three storey house but inside, God. It's a nightmare house. One of those that others won't see as being particularly wrong ("new kitchen, new bathroom") but it looks like the soul has been stripped out for the sake of it and I can see the wallpaper peeling in the photos. But there isn't much old stock around here, and I want an old house.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Won't the sellers think their "new kitchen, new bathroom" equals an inflated price?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
