Which brings me back to hairdressers. Been looking at local hairdressers websites, and so far the fore runner looks a bit cocky smug, and doesn't do the best cuts IMO based on their website...but the website music is Depeche Mode....so might be worth listening to their music choices while sweating in foils under a heater....

I doubt any of my local hairdressers have a website, let alone one that plays music.

There are an insane number of hairdressers in the four towns closest to me: I guess competition is fierce! Particularly the three smallest. In the fourth there is also a college, but not sure I'm up for that. I'd have a trim there. I went to one after moving, (whch dates my root length!) and it was ok (and Aveda) but I dunno...didn't grab me enough to make me desperate to go back.

I'm not sure my eyes or ears can take any more.

It's becoming very difficult to maintain my sanity.

Not my eyes - the images have been burned onto my retina. :(

Jedward? Eye-candy? Really? Is it the reverse of many males fantasy of twins?

DD has decided she wants to watch Superscrimpers and has seen the first few episodes. Tonight she told me she had come up with a good idea for keeping warm. She suggests cutting old socks open to flatten them out, and then sewing them into a blanket. I hope she forgets about it soon, or I will have her presenting me with piles of outgrown socks ready cut open and pestering me to start sewing.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
